The Dove & the Olive Branch – 🕊 – UNVEILING HOLY SPIRIT IN JESUS’S SUFFERINGS – The Why of the Anointing

” and again he sent out the dove from the ark.  And the dove came to him toward evening, AND BEHOLD, in her beak was a freshly picked OLIVE LEAF.  So Noah knew that the water was abated from the earth.”                                                                                                                           Genesis 8:10b-11a (NASB)

“In the days of His flesh, HE OFFERED UP both prayers and SUPPLICATIONS with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His piety.”                                                                                                                                                                                              Hebrews 5:7 (NASB)

“Jesus  … that by the Grace of God He might taste death for everyone. ”                                                      Hebrews 2:9b (NASB)

The mystery of Holy Spirit and the finished work of the cross, from what took took place at the end of the flood in Noah’s day, is unveiled from the Olive Grove hill known as the ‘Garden of Gethsemane’, all the way through to Jesus’s last breath on Golgatha’s cross.

Pentecost would be the the Royal robing confirmation from Jesus Himself of this mystery unveiled, with the purposed, adamant intent from God the Father that this mighty grace-truth be proclaimed to all the nations in order to set peoples free from all that Jesus consumed for them through His sufferings in His complete stripping of satan and his kingdom (Rev. 1:5-6; 5;9-10; Col. 2:15 et al).  If you have been following this series, you will remember that we began to unveil, from Jesus’s water baptism, part of this mystery through this account from Noah.

__Yet there is another link from Noah, from what occurs with the Dove, which manifests the prophetic fulfillment of that which we learned about Holy Spirit in Jesus’s baptism.

__What is going to be unveiled in this Kairos will set you, as it has me, into renewed Awe, yet again, of our Awesome God, of Jesus our Savior especially, and of Holy Spirit.  (Is it any wonder why the angels around heaven’s throne, beholding again and again God AND the Lamb that was slain for mankind Who still wears the scars of the cross, that they cannot stop their lips from saying, “Holy, Holy, Holy” … with each fresh look at the throne  … the Judgement Seat turned Mercy Seat? – Rev. 4:8-11, 5:6a, 11-14).

It was by no means insignificant when Noah, in his second sending of the dove from the heights of the rested ark up on the mountains of Ararat (Gen. 8:4), that the dove flew back up to him, towards evening, says Genesis 8:11, with a freshly torn Olive leaf (or Olive sprig), specifically from the plant of an OLIVE.

You know from the scriptures that everything on God’s heart – everything from the scriptures of the Old Covenant – points to Jesus and the finished work of His cross, pertaining to our redemption. Jesus made this clear in His teaching with the two on the road to Emmaus AND to His disciples the day He was raised from the dead (Luke 24; ref also Jhn. 5:39, 46); Paul also establishes this truth (Eph. 3:2ff; Col. 2:2).  When Holy Spirit first unveiled several years ago to me the link of Jesus’s supplications in the Garden of Gethsemane to the Dove that returned to Noah with an olive leaf/olive sprig, I was so blown away in my heart.  And I am again in awe as I let this sink into my heart with all that we have been learning in this “Unveiling Holy Spirit” series.

—There is a revelation from the scriptures which reveals something exclusive to Jesus alone, as a son of man, of the depths of prayer to overcome in the darkest hour.  The answer from heaven leads to an explosion of freedom TO ALL, to US , by the power of ALL-Mighty God (Eph. 1:17, 19-23; II Cor. 3:17b).  There is literally an anointing of freedom, through the power of Holy Spirit (breathed) into us, from sin itself, for this life because of the intensity of that into which Jesus personally set Himself, beginning from Gethsemane.

Accordingly also, anything and everything that has to do with “the anointing” through our lives is wholly a result of what is initiated by Jesus in this garden.

Jesus’s “Grace to taste death for all” mankind, that grace to walk through all that He did, (which IS that grace by Father unto us) – from Jesus’s arrest unto His death – is fought for, as it were, in this place that was an olive Grove garden, named because of it containing a … wine-press vat … in order to extract (by crushing, by being crushed) …  oil “Gethsemane” -› “Gath = WINE-press” …  /  …  “shemen = oil” …  Are you listening, Beloved?

“He was crushed for our iniquities; ”

the LORD was pleased to crush Him, putting Him to grief;  If He would render Himself as a guilt offering, ”                                                                                                  Isaiah 53:5a, 10a (NASB)

Our Baptism in Holy Spirit by Jesus, by Christ Jesus, from Heaven’s throne, is that power grace-gifted to us because of the result of that explosion into that freedom that was won for us through this Gethsemane intercession, depths I think we will never grasp … yet which victory won is our standing, and out of which is the basis for our confidence and bold faith BEFORE GOD when we pray… as well as boldness in the face of anything from the kingdom of darkness.

“.. Christ Jesus the Lord of us, in Whom we have boldness and access in confidence through the faith of Him.”                                                                         Ephesians 3:11b-12 (lit. frm. Grk. txt)

“Behold, I give to you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall in any wise hurt you.”                                                                                                                                                                Luke 10:19  (ERV)

I believe there is a place to move in greater faith, Beloved, a greater ‘rested believing’ Jesus (Jhn. 14:12-14; Col. 3:1-3; Eph. 1:17-23), even a greater rested believing our Heavenly Father, as our ALL-Mighty God (Jhn. 16:26; 17:25-26), intimately and in established heart-truth, without fear, all because of the revelation from of what takes place in Gethsemane … where we accordingly, too, witness more, and more suddenly, answers to prayer, even answers to bold faith declarations (Job. 22:28; II Cor. 4:13;  ie. Mat. 8:5-8, 10, 13).

If the revelation of this account is let to sink into our hearts, Precious Ones, we will not take lightly or take for granted King Jesus’s gracing us with this baptism in Holy Spirit from Him, this that John had announced that He would do.  Because this Royal robe is the expression on earth of the authority of the anointing upon us from of the highest throne to which God the Father has set our Lord Jesus.  The Resurrection bears witness to that victory, and Holy Spirit baptism is the enforcement, against the kingdom of darkness, of that liberty wrought by every drop of Jesus’s blood.

–.It is His blood, Beloved, even the voice of His blood, His very life, that began to be spilt in this Olive Garden known for its oil press.  For Holy Spirit was right there in Jesus, as the voice and life of Jesus, in His speaking blood, was soaking into the ground with every drop of intercession … against Sin (Heb. 12:4) – against everything that ever caused US to MISS the mark of the weighty estimation of the image of Jesus / of God the Father – towards our Liberty from Sin, towards our full redemption of lost Glory.

“And He came … to the Mount of Olives…  And … He knelt down and began to pray, saying,” “ABBA!  FATHER!  ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO YOU; REMOVE THIS CUP FROM ME;” “yet not My will, but Yours be done.”  Now an angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him.  And being in agony, [… He offered up both prayers and supplications with LOUD crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death] He was praying VERY FERVANTLY (lit. MORE INTENSELY He was giving-Himself to praying”) ; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground”                                                                                                      excrpt frm Lk. 22:39-44; Mk14:36a [& Heb. 5:7] (NASB)

From Gethsemane through to Jesus’s last breath from the cross is unveiled God’s very heart in the mystery of the gospel from Genesis 8, something He intentionally hid from the serpent so that he could be set up for his downfall on Golgatha’s hill; God used the darkness of the serpent’s own schemes and ways to be the wool over his own eyes.

If you will let your heart behold and take hold of this that is unveiled in this Kairos, there is a gracing unto you through Christ Jesus, for which many of you are longing, a grace-gifting from Father, through Holy Spirit baptism, to give yourself to “pray by the Spirit and by the understanding”, that is, “to pray in tongues (in the language HOLY Spirit gives you – ref. Acts 2:4b) and in your own tongue”, as Paul wrote in I Corinthians 14:15, and to grow in this.  (Ref. also Col. 4:2-3; Eph. 6:18).  You will see and understand why Holy Spirit wants to pray and declare this way through you, because of what ALL-Mighty God so wholly accomplished through His Son up in Gethsemane and up on Golgatha;  it is both His Divine Way and His Divine strategy, which can only be done according to His design, [utterly apart from the wisdom of this age, the reasonings of this life which can cloud the faith that IS in you (Pro.3:5, 7a)], if you have believed into Christ Jesus].

There is, too, a gracing that will move so many of you from a perceived ‘believed distance’ between you and God, especially when you pray, unto a ripped veil/torn open heaven access, where your relationship, in prayer, in intercession to Almighty God, and even throughout the walk of your regular daily lives, is now Face-to-face Father-son/Father-daughter reality (Rom. 5:1-2).

“For you have not received the spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received the spirit of adoption as sons [Lit. “a spirit of sonship placement] by which we cry out, “Abba Father.”  The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God”                                                                                                                                                       Romans 8:15-16 (NASB)

“For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.  And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; … Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the Holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, … LET US DRAW NEAR with a sincere heart IN FULL ASSURANCE OF FAITH …”                                                                                                                                Hebrews 10:19-20, 22a (NASB)

The voice of the blood of Jesus, Beloved, with every word of His fully stretched out effort of entreaty and agonizing supplication, in the tears falling with His loud praying in the crushing of His soul, the agony pouring out in sweat as drops of blood upon the ground by which man was created, onto the dirt that took the curse because the first Adam had shut his ears to the Ruach breath of the LORD, of YHVH, this voice of the blood of Jesus, all of this was for Him to receive Grace, literally, to walk through NOT having this cup removed from Him …

— .… and Holy Spirit, Whom He received from His Father at His water baptism, walked with Him, in Him, through all of this baptism …

“Behold, is coming, an hour, and has come, in order that you might be scattered, each unto his own, and I, alone might you leave (Me); and I am NOT alone; because the Father, with Me He is!”                                                                                                                                                         John 16:32 (Lit. frm. Grk txt)

… selah …

…  for it was Father God’s WILL to tear the veil, through a man, through This Man, yet by His Spirit with and in This Man, His Son, between the Holy Place of heaven and you and I, to utterly strip the king of deep darkness in the darkest hour on earth, so that every tribe & tongue & peoples & nation, male & female, young & old, might able to receive, openly, unhindered, from Father God Himself, all that is the fullness and wholeness of complete redemption of all that the first Adam forfeited …

—-…  that we could, likewise, now hear, fully give ourselves to hear, the Spirit of God, to have a forever ripped veil, a forever open heaven access, to the most Holy Place of God, with not one shred or leftover evidence of sin, of coming short, ever again, of the glory of God (Rom. 5:1-2, Jer. 31:31, 34; Heb. 8:12; I Cor. 2:9-16).

“If God is for us, who is against us?  He Who did NOT SPARE His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?  Who will bring a charge against God’s elect?  God is the One Who justifies; who is one who condemns?  Christ Jesus is He Who died, yes, rather Who was raised, Who is at the right hand of God, Who also intercedes (denotes “hits the mark”) for us.  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?”                                                                                                                       Romans 8:31b-35a (NASB)

–.The voice of the blood of Jesus, now on the Judgment Seat/Mercy Seat Throne, began to hit the mark for us, in full love for us, from Father God AND from Jesus, the moment Jesus’s intercession began to pour out of His lips in this winepress-oilpress garden. There is literally an unseen working by Holy Spirit through the entirety of Jesus’s suffering for our redemption that will break through UPWARDS, to tear open the veil that was never to have ever been, between us and Holy God.  As Father had torn open the heavens to pour down His Spirit upon Jesus at Jesus’s water baptism, so now, through the darkness, from Gethsemane to that last moment of Jesus’s breath yeilded, Holy Spirit, Jesus’s Spirit, would burst and tear open that heavens in going back up to God … with an Olive leaf/an Olive Sprig.  You don’t see it, but it is actually in the language of Hebrews 5:7.

I believe Gethsemane is where is forever cemented the foundation for Jesus being called CHRIST Jesus.  The crushing of Jesus’s life in His resistance to Sin, to bleed out the oil of Holy Spirit life, of Jesus’s Holy life, to become the anointing gracing for our life in Christ and Christ’s life through us, where the authority He has, now, as King and Lord, lives through us to shine the light, and thus the increasing reign, of the Kingdom of God, on earth  … as it is in heaven.

So let’s unravel the mystery.  I believe this will put many of you in awe of our Savior!

——————————————-

The connection of Jesus’s baptism into water and His baptism on Golgatha’s hill, while nailed to that wood, what God the Father Himself did, by His very own Holy Spirit, at the completion of both, is made manifest the very second Jesus breathed His last breath on the cross.

Now from the sixth hour darkness fell upon all the land until the ninth hour.

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice,” “TETELESTAI” [” FINISHED!”]

And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded UP His SpiritAND BEHOLD, THE VEIL of the temple WAS TORN IN TWO FROM TOP TO BOTTOM,”                                                                     excrpt frm Matthew 27:45-51 (NASB)                                 [single word insert frm Grk Txt-John 19:30]

” … Jesus … was baptized into the Jordan by John.”  “and” “immediately, going up out of the water,” “while He was praying, He saw BEING TORN THE HEAVENS and the Spirit, as a dove, descending (coming DOWN) upon Him”                                                                            Mark 1:9-10  (Lit. frm.Grk Txt.)                 insert quote frm Jesus baptism – Luke 3:21 (NASB)

Jesus, the moment He came up out of the waters of baptism, was announcing to all creation that He was, as a man for man, dead to sin, all the way back to Adam.  And because of this, the heavens were torn open so that this Adam (the “Last Adam” – I Cor. 15:45b) could receive, as a Man, for us the glory which the first Adam had rejected for us all … the clothing of the Spirit of Godthe Voice, the Ruach breath of the LORD – YHVH – as our life’s very garment.  (This statement is so huge in comprehending {the why of} Holy Spirit baptism by Christ Jesus from heaven’s blood-stained Throne, as a present/never-having-faded, Grace-truth in this age.  To be unmindful of this, in accounting this as a “pre-completed/pre-compiled-Bible grace need only” is to write off and account as nothing so costly a grace-gift.)

But it was in His yielding up His Spirit as His final breath from the cross, (which was Holy to His Father), that the heavens, which had been torn open to Him at the Jordan, were now torn open by God for ALL OF US!

This has  everything to do with the Dove flying up to Rest (Noah) with that freshly torn Olive leaf/Olive sprig … which was offered, in Gethsemane in Jesus’s supplications, through the entirety of His sufferings.

Father had breathed His Spirit, His Agape Love, with His voice, which voice appeared as a Dove lighting upon Jesus as He was coming up out of His water baptism, to rest upon and in Him.  And Jesus breathed back His love to His Father (ref. Jhn. 10:17a,14:31a), to God, with His last breath from the cross, in a rested, trusted yeilding of His Spirit …

…  selah  …

…  knowing, too, in His faith, that Abba Father, to whom He’d cried in the most agonizing prayer the night before up in Gethsemane, WAS indeed going to raise Him up from out of the dead … doing it by His Spirit (Acts 2:24, 27; Rom. 8:11).

It was not just the temple’s veil that was torn from top to bottom, Beloved; that was a sign to the Jews, and predominantly to the priesthood.  Rather more, it was the veil of darkness above, the veil of death which had been since the first Adam sinned in the Garden, that was torn over the earth, which veil was physically seen when Father, as Holy God, was judging us … by pouring out our deserved wrath onto His Son three hours earlier for three hours.

Gethsemane’s hill and Golgatha’s hill became the mountaintop breakthrough for all mankind to let go of the wine of this life, the spirit of this age, for the Wine of heaven that was about to be poured out upon all flesh fifty some days later.

“And the LORD of hosts will prepare a lavish banquet for all peoples on this mountain;  A banquet of aged wine, … And on this mountain He will swallow up the covering which is over all peoples, Even the veil which is stretched over all nations.  He will swallow up death for all time, And the Lord God [Adonai-YHVH] will wipe tears away from all faces, And He will remove the reproach of His people from all the earth;  For the LORD has spoken.  And it will be said in that day,  “Behold, THIS is our God for Whom we have waited that He might save us.  This is the LORD [YHVH] for Whom we have waited;  Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation (Yeshua). For the hand of the LORD will rest on this mountain.””                                                                                         Isaiah 25:6-10a (NASB)

“And your covenant with death shall be cancelled,       And your pact with sheol shall not stand;                                                                                             Isaiah 28:18a. (NASB)

Jesus, the moment He was nailed to the cross and that cross was set up, became sin, taking all of mankind’s sin, all the way back to Adam, where death got it’s entrance to the seed of man because of that first sin (Rom.5:12).  It was as though the first three hours were all the sins – of the past, the present, and the future – being accounted, poured into Him, till He was all that is (our) Sin: (II Cor. 5:21a).

From that completion, Beloved, is when the darkness fell over the whole land.  (The wording of the verse in the Greek – Mat. 27:45; Mk. 15:33; Lk. 23:44 – can also denote that “the darkness came-to-be over all the  earth.”)  For it was the revelation to ALL OF MANKIND the reality of just how dark is our sin, how closed the heavens, how shut off from the Light of liberty towards God, really is.

Our deserved judgment for sin, the Divine wrath for mankind, was being wholly consumed by the Son of God as a son of man.  I believe Jesus, as a man, though perfect, yet become sin, through blearied bewilderment, hung those last three hours in darkness with a stark revelation of what it was really like to be separated from Holy God, the eternal reality of what is our life apart from Jesus, our eternal damnation apart from God.  He screamed out the words King David had scribed some thousand years before, when Holy Spirit prophesied through him the sufferings of Jesus to the cross in Psalms 22:

“MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?”                                                               Psalms 22:1; Matthew 27:46; Mark 15:34

It was this whole scene, Beloved, that Jesus saw, or knew in His Spirit, up on Gethsemane, that was to come.  This was the agony of the three hours of the most intense intercession, bleeding prayer, to ever come upon a man.

… and it was this that marks the connection back to the Dove that flew up, with that freshly torn Olive leaf/Olive sprig to Noah after the judgement of the flood, the baptism, that killed sin.

“And they came to a place named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, ‘Sit here until I have prayed.’  And He … began to be very distressed (lit. “astonished to the point of wits end”) and troubled (rooted in a verb meaning “to be sated with loathing” Denotes, “totally away from being “at home” in the mind”).  And He said to them, ‘My soul is deeply grieved (denoting “encompassing sorrow”) to the point of death;” “And He went a little beyond them,”; “He drew away from them about a stone’s throw,” “and fell on His face and” “He was praying, saying, ‘Father, if You are willing, Remove this cup from Me!  Nevertheless, not the will of Me, rather the will of You let be done.  Now an angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him.  And being in agony, [… He offered up both prayers and supplications with LOUD crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death] He was praying very fervently; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground”

excerpts are all taken frm Mark 14:32, 33b-34; Luke 22:41a; Matthew 26:39a (NASB)  Hebrews 5:7; Luke 22:41b-44 (Lit. frm. Grk. txt)

Did you pay attention to what Jesus did after the angel appears and gives strength to Him (because His Father, our God, would not take away from Him this cup, this wine being squeezed into this cup)?  He prayed more fervently.  The strength of force grace-gifted Jesus by His Father, through the angel sent to minister to Him, caused Jesus to pray with an intensity of one totally empty and completely needing something that only could come from the One able to save Him from death, from the only One in existence that could give the answer, the result of “won” pleading.

The power of Holy Spirit baptism, of that fire that Jesus came to cast into the earth let loosed through praying in tongues, is rooted in the victory won through the oil press agony of Gethsemane.  Holy Spirit in us, Holy Spirit clothing us, was right there, in Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane as the oil and the wine were being squeezed, crushed … The reason for the anointing, Beloved, comes through the crushing of the Olive to spill out upon the earth the oil contained … in the Voice of the Blood of the Lamb of God hitting the dirt.  It has everything to do with the Voice of the Blood AND Holy Spirit, not only in us, but also clothing us, because it has everything to do with the Glory of our Savior, of Christ Jesus on us

… in the face of the king and kingdom of darkness,

——– … in the eyes of a world crying out for Light, Life, and Liberty.

Are you ready?

For every high priest taken from among men is appointed on behalf of men in things pertaining to God, in order TO OFFER both gifts and sacrifices for sins

And no one takes the honor to Himself, but receives it when he is called by God, even as Aaron was.  So also Christ did not glorify Himself so as to become a high priest, but He Who said to Him, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You’;  just as He says also in another passage, ‘You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.’

In the days of His flesh HE OFFERED UP both prayers and SUPPLICATIONS with LOUD crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His piety.”                                                                                                                                                                                  Hebrews 5:1,4-7 (NASB)

The “gift” and “offering” this High Priest, Christ Jesus, is going to offer as a sacrifice for sins are His own body and blood, literally EVERYTHING that is His very life – body, soul, and Spirit.  And He is going to offer all of this through Holy Spirit.  His complete intercession throughout the three hours up in Gethsemane is the sacrifice, Beloved, of the cross.  The speaking blood presently and forever on the throne, IS Jesus’s intercession that always and forever grace-gifts us to always hit the mark of the glory of God.  It is, I believe, the won intercession of Gethesemane’s agony of Jesus’s cry, while on His face in the dirt up in that garden.

Did you take notice that Genesis 8:11 says what the Dove brought back up to Noah was “freshly torn”?

Look again at this excerpt from Hebrews 10:20:

“Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the Holy place by the blood of Jesus, BY A NEW and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh,”

The Greek word for “New” is “πρόσφατος” – “Prosphatos”, meaning, … a “freshly-slain” sacrifice.  The sacrifice of Jesus, His body and blood, is always as fresh presently as it was the day He was nailed to the cross.  Look at the disciple John’s words in Revelation when he had been caught up in the Spirit to heaven:

“And I saw between the throne (with the four living creatures) and the elders a Lamb standing, as if slain, …”                                                                                     Revelation 5:6a (NASB)

The sacrifice of Jesus is not at all like the sacrifices of the Old Covenant, which “grew old” and only had temporal covering of sin, and had to be offered with fresh sacrifices continually, (ref. Heb. 9:7, 25, book of Leviticus).  Since the sacrifice of Jesus remains “freshly slain”, Holy Spirit in us reminds us of our present forever “forgiven” and “clean/spotless/without blemish” standing before our God.  It is from this confidence, Beloved, that we can, because this is a grace-gift of God’s immense love for us, call God, “Abba, Father”.

But also this reality of our present, in heaven, freshly slain sacrifice, with Jesus’s speaking blood on that Judgment seat (which is our judgment having been paid in full), this reality through Holy Spirit baptism, Holy Spirit enduement/clothing, is our armour and authority on earth.  Holy Spirit is literally the bold, unabashed light, and thus enforcement, on and through us of this freshly torn Olive leaf/Olive sprig having been offered UP before Holy God, that legal anointing bearing witness boldly of a stripped ruler of the kingdom of darkness from the cross of Christ.

Here, then, is the mystery from Genesis 8:11 unveiled.

Look again at this excerpt from Hebrews 5:7:

“In the days of His flesh HE OFFERED UP both prayers and SUPPLICATIONS with LOUD crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His piety.”

This word for “SUPPLICATIONS” is “ἱκετηρία” – “hiketéria”
(sounds like hik-et-ay-ree’-ah), and is only used here, only of the Man Jesus in all of scripture!  Because He was the only Man, in the entirety of the history of this creation, that could accomplish this for us all.

The unveiling of Genesis 8:11 is in this one word.  I will let Biblehub . com explain this:

hiketēría – properly, an olive branch; (figuratively) EARNEST SUPPLICATION for peace (relief, reconciliation), used only in Heb 5:7. … [An olive branch, held in the hand of a suppliant, showed heartfelt “supplication, entreaty” (Souter).  (hiketēría) in ancient times was frequently used of a suppliant CARRYING AN OLIVE BRANCH as a token for “seeking peace.]

an olive-branch; for suppliants approached the one whose aid they would implore holding an olive-branch entwined with white wool and fillets, to signify that they came as suppliants                                                                                                            (emphasis mine)

Do you see why Father sent “the dove”.  Do you understand why Holy Spirit specifically has the Dove, in the Genesis account of Divine judgment, to go look for an olive shoot to tear off and bring back UP to Noah?

The world had waited, since Noah’s day, for the revelation of the dove again … and got at Jesus’s baptism.  Even so, that baptism into the Jordan was pointing three years ahead, through Gethsemane, to Golgatha’s hill, to heaven’s throne.  Heaven was torn open for us all the moment Jesus yielded UP His Spirit, to God, to His Father … so that the Dove, Holy Spirit, could bring UP the sacrifice that brought rest from the curse of sin, and accordingly, “PEACE towards God.” (Rom. 5:1-2).  It was the totality of all that is Gethsemane’s intercession, the freshly torn Olive sprig, the new wine squeezed with the blood of Jesus, through the victory of offered up gifts and sacrifices of His body and blood to  the stripes of Roman whips and to the cross.

“For He grew up before Him, like a tender shoot, and like a root out of parched ground;  He has no stately form or majesty that we should look upon Him, nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him.  He was despised and forsaken of men, a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and like one from whom men hide their face, He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.  Surely our griefs (our pains) He Himself bore, and our sorrows (our sickness) He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.  But He was pierced through for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being (Shalom/peace) fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. … The LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him (to encounter Him).  … The LORD was pleased to crush Him, putting Him to grief; if He would render Himself as a guilt offering, … As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, as He will bear their iniquities. … He poured out Himself to death, … He Himself bore the sin of many, and interceded for the transgressors.”

The Oil of the Holy Spirit, the “anointing”, was through this Olive crushing Supplication.

Do you see, Beloved, that Holy Spirit bears witness to Jesus Christ and Him crucified?  (Jhn. 16:13-15)  You cannot know, in truth, Holy Spirit, even God Himself, apart from Jesus, apart from the cross, from the finished work of the cross of Christ.

Paul wrote in Romans 5:20 that Grace abounds where sin increases.  It was OUR sin, the totality of it all, that caused the crushing (“He was crushed for OUR iniquities”,) to pour out the oil, the gracing, of Holy Spirit, for man.

” … Jesus our Lord … Who was delivered up because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification.  Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace towards God through our LORD Jesus Christ, through Whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we exult in hope of the glory of God.”                                                                                                                                                                        Romans 4:24b-5:2 (NASB)

“how much more the blood of the Christ, Who through an eternal Spirit Himself did He offer unblemished to God, will cleanse the conscience of us from dead works towards serving the Living God”                                                                                                                                      Hebrews 9:14 (Lit. frm. Grk. txt.)

The day of Pentecost, Beloved, was Father God Himself sending the sound of His own heart, the very last cries of Jesus from the cross, of that opened heaven to us.  Read the last several voiced statements of Jesus from the cross.   Scripture declares that He “cried out with a LOUD voice” (Mat. 27:45-51; Mk. 15:33-38; Lk. 23:44-46).  On the day of Pentecost, that voice coming down, of Holy Spirit, was like the sound of a rushing wind that was violent.  The power of that broken open heaven to God the Father’s very throne room, from the breath of Jesus’s Spirit which tore that veil apart, was being given to those having believed into Jesus, to be tongues of fire to kindle the revelation truth of that open heaven from the cross;  Holy Spirit baptism was and is the seal of this forever truth!  (Eph. 1:13-14).  The tongues, which really are a fire, which HOLY Spirit grace-gifts us to utter, are what keep us conscious, keep us in remembrance ongoingly, of this forever truth.

Oh, Beloved, you must see and meditate (talk out-loud to yourself) that all of this is the LOVE of God, of our Heavenly Father, towards us.  It is imperative to dwell on such costly love, both to you, and, as the purposes of God, of His very life through Christ Jesus, to be a fountain and a river out of you to the world.  If you never learn anything else, get no other Bible knowledge than a pure, ongoing, continual revelation of God’s love for YOU, personally, individually, you will be beyond full of God (I John 4:9-19).  There is a revelation from God, a gracing to actually keep yourself IN the love of God through praying in the Spirit, through praying in tongues with believing sincerity that this is indeed Holy and Holy Spirit, Jesus’s perfect intercession, through you.  It will overflow out of you to affect the world around you (Jhn. 7:38-39; Jude 20-23).

Our being rooted and grounded in God our Father’s love, (Eph. 3:16-19) through Holy Spirit in us unveiling to us the finished work of Jesus’s cross (Jhn. 14:26, 16:14; Rom. 5:5-6), this, out of which is our ongoing daily relationship with Him – in the Word, in communion with Him (Jhn. 8:31-32), in worship (Ps. 145) –  all foundationed through Holy Spirit baptism believed and received and walked in continually (I Cor. 14:2, 4a, 18), is Holy Spirit to us bearing witness to this truth of the open Heaven grace-gifted the world with Jesus’s final breath.  This is why, when Holy Spirit comes to us in New Birth, HE NEVER LEAVES US  … NOT EVER!!!  (Some of you needed to hear this).  (Ref.  Jhn. 14:16; Mat. 28:20b; Josh. 1:9).

The more we choose to believe this from the scriptures, Precious saints, the less we’ll keep asking God for an open heaven and actually start walking and living by faith in this already won for us reality.

————————————-

There are two more items, the first from the account of Noah’s day.  This we have covered before, but there is a bit more as it pertains to this unveiling in this Kairos.

“Then Noah built an altar to the LORD,  … and offered burnt offerings on the altar.  And the LORD smelled the soothing aroma;  and the LORD said to Himself, “I will never again curse the ground on account of man, ”                                                                                                                      Genesis 8:20-21a (NASB)

The Hebrew verb used here, “to smell”, is the same spelling in Hebrew as the word for Spirit, “Ruach”.  Moreover, the phrase, “soothing aroma”, literally denotes “an aroma of rest“, the word “aroma” taken from that verb “Ruach”-“to smell”.  This points to the sufferings of Jesus in His sacrifice, in His yielding up His Spirit to God, His Father.  His entire suffering, from His arrest through to what He submitted of the cross, IS His intercession from Gethsemane.  It is His ongoing, present, “TETELSESTAI”-“FINISHED” cry-from-the-cross intercession from the Throne for us (Heb. 7:24-27)

…  and it was all, and always will be, a fragrant aroma of rest having risen up into the nostrils of Holy God, from sin and from the curse (ref. Gen. 5:28-29; Gal. 3:13) [A number of the prescribed sacrifices in Leviticus, which all were pointing to the sacrifice of the cross, declared that those sacrifices would be a“soothing aroma”, literally from the Hebrew, an “aroma of rest” (see Lev. 1:9, 13, 17; 3:5;4:31, et al).]  This fragrant ascending aroma of rest was the offering up of Jesus’s Spirit, His Holy Spirit, that burst through, to tear open, forever, the veil of death which had been over the nations since the garden of Eden (Is. 25:7-8a).  This is the incense offering of an open heaven, a pleasing, received Ruach aroma.  It arises to God from here, Beloved, on earth, even as an aroma of the Love of Christ Jesus sacrificing Himself to redeem a Bride; it IS an aroma of Him, of His Love.

” … Christ … loved you, and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.”                                                                                                    Ephesians 5:2 (NASB)

The fragrance of Jesus, of His sacrifice, is upon those who have believed into Jesus.  It is the fragrance of His Spirit in us, which is Holy, that arises before God, through our lives and especially when we pray with a “believing Jesus/faith towards God” heart, that it is not out of rote dullness, rather from a true, sincere heart in a living, knowing faith towards God our Father (Heb. 10:22a; et al).

“But thanks be to God, Who always leads us in His triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.  For WE ARE a fragrance of Christ to God …”                                                                                                                                                II Corinthians 2:14-15a (NASB)

It is in our daily communion with Him, our living walk in relationship ongoingly, where we keep ourselves conscious of Jesus in us and on us, that we realize the fragrance of our Savior Who still wears the scars of the cross, that that fragrance of Jesus is emitting, as it were, from off of us towards God before this world.  It is the fragrance of the Spirit of Christ on us.  This is what HOLY Spirit in us and on us means.  This is the glory clothing of Jesus, of His death and resurrection, a fragrance to God, towards drawing, too, a dying world to a living, fragrant Savior.  Let your heart, Beloved, and your lips say out loud, “I am a fragrance of Christ … to God!”  Let your heart take hold of this grace-truth, and watch what Father does through you.

This leads to Divine purpose through you. Out of this revelation of you being the Fragrance of Christ, you need to know that this, therefore, is your encouragement and exhortation towards growing in believing, augmenting faith, prayer.  When you see from the LORD, from Father, through the scriptures that this offering before Him, in living, believing faith, is a fragrance of Jesus to God, that He uses our voice towards getting on earth the answer to Jesus’s sacrifice, towards manifesting on earth all that Jesus suffered to grace-gift us from Father God, towards redeeming all that the first Adam’s forefeighted Glory lost, you will give yourself to this service of love.

“To prayer continue steadfastly, watching in it with thanksgiving.”                                                                                                                                                          Colossians 4:2 (Lit. frm. Grk. txt)

“And when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures creatures and twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, having each one a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.                                                                                                                                 Revelation 5:8 (NASB)

Our believing Jesus through our prayer, Beloved, is the voice of the blood of Jesus.  It is joining with Him through the intercession that He won in Gethsemane and manifested on the cross.  The more we believe God’s love for us through all that were the sufferings of Jesus for our redemption, that His love towards us “bore all things, believed all things, hoped all things,” even “endured all things,” to gain us, (see I Cor. 13:7), the more THAT love to us bears, believes, hopes and endures without end as a fountain of faith through our intercession that just won’t give up, even in the face of this age’s voice that puts time limits and endurance limits, etc., the more we will see that God, to Whom we can now cry, “Abba, Father”, will answer our “faith through love working” believing prayer, because He wills to answer in order to glorify His Son. (Jhn. 16:23-27)  …

–  …   Selah   …       (Don’t be in a hurry to finish … Let this last statement sink into your spirit man, Precious one.)

—       -.…  because Jesus won this open heaven gracing for us through His Olive leaf intercession up in Gethsemane.

Having said that, there is one more item.  Please hear this in humility, knowing the Father’s love for you that does not waiver in hope and destiny unto you.

There is one more gracing from Father in Jesus which is a supernatural working of Holy Spirit in us.  This is not one that many of us would jump up and down rejoicing and say,  “Hallelujah Father, do it,” because most of us don’t like this.  Yet it is because of not seeing and realizing the love of Father God in doing this.  But if we would take hold of the fruit of righteousness and the liberty that comes to be as a reality through this, we would give our hearts to this wholly.  The gracing to receive this, Beloved, is literally the Spirit of Jesus already breathed into us when we first believed.

The foundation verse for this Kairos, in unveiling Holy Spirit through Jesus’s sufferings, which began with the first drops of blood in that wine-press oil crushing garden of Gethsemane, is from Hebrews 5:7.

In the days of His flesh HE OFFERED UP both prayers and SUPPLICATIONS with LOUD crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His piety.”                                                                                                                                                                                  Hebrews 5:1,4-7 (NASB)

Look at the following two verses:

“Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered, and having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation.”

Too often we read the verb & noun “obey/obedience” and we immediately let even inklings of condemnation start seeping into our thinking, because we suddenly see, of ourselves, where we blew it, where we sinned, where we don’t “measure up.”

We have to start believing the power of the cleansing of Jesus blood and Spirit – from of sin, of our conscience – and start seeing and letting sink in this grace-truth through Holy Spirit truth from the scriptures of the New Covenant.  The verb, “to obey”, in the Hebrew Old Testament, in the Greek New Testament, AND in English, all are specifically rooted etymologically in “bending our ears [continually] to hear”.  The “action” of “doing” what we hear, is, in truth, the fruit of continual hearing; it is the fruit righteousness itself.  And who doesn’t want to hear from Father, from Holy Spirit in us?

Here is the foundation and grace for this:  The answer to Jesus, (“and He was heard because of His piety.”) was that His Father, God, destined Jesus to do His – Father God’s –  will, (“not My will, but YOURS be done.”  / “when He (Jesus) comes into the world, He says, … “Behold, I have come to do YOUR will” “ – Heb. 10:5a, 7  NASB), so that the cup being handed Jesus would not be taken away; because Father God saw us, that the ONLY way for full redemption into the glory of His Son was through the sufferings, from the trial, through beatings, Roman whips, and the nails of the cross, until He died.  His “learning obedience from the things which He suffered” was hearing His Father “all the way to the death of the cross”.  Please hear this, Beloved: Jesus won for us the grace gift to perfectly hear the Holy Spirit of God, through His sufferings, all the way to His death … so that WE could hear, even correction, … without having to be destroyed, to the death that the first Adam, dying, died.

Jesus perfectly heard the Holy Spirit of His Father … all the way to the death of the cross.  Our growing to “perfectly hear” Holy Spirit in us, from the depths of God, literally from the depths of God’s own heart, (I Cor. 2:10-12; Jhn. 10:27), comes through “learning obedience through the things He (Jesus) suffered.”

The grace to be corrected from Father, from His Spirit in us, the Spirit of His Son in us by which we, too, can cry, “Abba, Father”, is to literally receive, consciously, the grace that we indeed have by the Spirit of Christ in us.  For it is never towards our destruction, not ever.  Let these verses from Father speak to your heart through His tender love.  The discipline, the scourging to grace-gift us correction, was paid for by Jesus in His flesh, in His body.  Let your ears hear, Beloved.

“Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.  You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin; and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons,
“MY SON, DO NOT REGARD LIGHTLY THE DISCIPLINE OF THE LORD,
NOR FAINT WHEN YOU ARE REPROVED BY HIM;                                                                  FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES,
AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES.”

It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline?  But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.  Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live?  For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness.  All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those WHO HAVE BEEN TRAINED BY IT, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.

Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble, and make straight paths for your feet, so that the limb which is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed.”                                                                                                                                                                             Hebrews 12:1-13 (NASB)

—Where we reject the discipline of the LORD, where we shut out correction from Father God, is where we stunt our growing in hearing … where we literally cut off a precious place of receiving His Love.  It therefore unveils that that place in our hearts does not have a revelation of God’s perfect love … because He doesn’t correct us to harm or destroy us, whatsoever! , rather to keep us out of condemnation (I Cor. 11:32).  There is no fear in judgment because the love of God has been perfected in us … for it was evidenced in Jesus’s confidence in His Father to take our judgment, our punishment …  all the way to dying, on the cross, our death. (I Jhn. 4:10, 17-19).

If your heart is resisting correction, Beloved, and you know it, that is the place to run to, and cry, “ABBA, FATHER”.  It is the place to let His love be rooted and grounded into your heart …  seeing that Jesus took that very part of your and my “coming short of the glory”, and bore it in His body on the cross, and took the punishment for it (“the chastisement of our peace was upon Him”Isaiah 53).  The cross is where grace is released to you, Precious One, when you see and believe this.  There really is a grace from Father through the Spirit of His Son in us, through His cross, to be corrected ( … towards greater entrustment in hearing!)  It is His grace, not your effort to change and “be better”, which will change you.  Because Almighty God’s heart, Father God’s heart through this, knows you will hear greater and more accurately.

—————–

Finally:

Twelve months ago, Holy Spirit put on my heart for this year that it is the “Year to Seek the Blood the that Speaks”, and it came from this very Hebrews 12 chapter quoted above, specifically from Hebrews 12:25.

“For you have not come … to darkness and gloom and whirlwind …                                                                           BUT                                                                                                                                 You have come to …                                                                                            THE SPRINKLED BLOOD THAT SPEAKS …  ”                                                                                                        frm. Heb. 12:18, 22a, 24b  (ESV)

“SEE TO IT THAT YOU DO NOT REFUSE THE [ONE] SPEAKING”                                                                                                                         Hebrews 12:25

That Kairos was published on 12/25 last year, and I had no idea it would come to this one.

Father’s heart, Beloved, is to bring us into an exceedingly greater place in our faith, hope, and love in Jesus in this earth, to explode in the eyes of the nations, and to the rulers and authorities in the heavenlies, the glory of Jesus, of the finished work of the cross, through the church, through the Bride of Christ, through you and I.  The gift of Holy Spirit, in Holy Spirit baptism, IS the design of God the Father because this is the way that works a sanctification, literally, in our thinking … so that we do not refuse the one speaking, the speaking Blood of Christ Jesus our Saviour.  It is where the blood and the Spirit cleanses our conscience from having been wired to this age’s thinking and speaking (that of the tree of the knowledge of good – yes “good” – and evil) unto the liberty, freeing cleanness of conscious that comes through the tree of life, where we see Jesus through the finished work of His Cross, now seated on the Throne, and us with Him … and He sees in us a faith that augments exponentially as we can’t take our gaze from off of Him, while we live on this earth, … and bubble out to the world such crazy awesome Love.

That anointing, the oil of Holy Spirit, which grace-gifts us this treasure, Christ Jesus’s life to us, in us, through us, was paid for through a Dove that took up a freshly torn olive…  with costly blood  …

… with blood that speaks.

“… knowing that you were redeemed … with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.”                                                                           I Peter 1:18-19 (NASB)

The voice of the blood of Christ Jesus is going to be heard clearer and clearer through the anointing that is Holy Spirit baptism, yes, with the fire that is in speaking in Tongues, in other languages, according as HOLY Spirit causes us to speak.  You must pay attention to the “HOLY” in this, because it is NOT from the devil, whatsoever; this lie must be put to death in the thinking and lips of believers (Luke 11:11-13). This costly “do not lean on your own understanding” language from HOLY Spirit is the precious grace allowing us to join with Jesus’s intercession, from Gethsemane AND from the blood-stained Mercy Seat Throne, that we might, by His very Spirit which is Holy, always “hit the mark”, on earth … as He does in heaven.

Gethsemane was known for its “WINE-press” – that speaks of “blood” – in order to extract “oil” from olives – that speaks of “the anointing”, of “Christ/Mashiach”– all of that Holy Spirit bearing witness – through us, as Christians” (“Anointed/Christ-like ones because of Jesus’s blood”) – to the finished work of Judgment, through the crushing of Jesus … exactly as Father prophetically intended through the Dove which flew back up to Noah with that “freshly torn” Olive leaf/Olive sprig.  Holy Spirit had come back down in Jesus to find that that tender shoot, grown out of parched ground, now was ripe enough to have Olives … to crush, to release out onto the world the finished work of sin, which the first baptism, Noah’s flood, never did extinguish from the Adamic bloodline.

The Dove had flown down from Noah the third time he’d sent it, not to see the Dove again.  It speaks of Holy Spirit being sent from heaven on Pentecost, (1st time to Adam, 2nd time to Jesus, 3rd time to us), not to return back up  ….

—- … without us …

———–… because He is the forever seal, upon us, of Father God’s acquired possession (Eph. 1:14).

Don’t be afraid to ask Jesus to baptize you in Holy Spirit, Beloved.  There is a glory of the cross, of Jesus’s Resurrection, yes, of His ascension through the heavens, the open heavens, in this grace-gift.  There is an explosion of revelation from Holy Spirit in this to unveil Jesus throughout the body of the scriptures, like you’ve never seen Him before.  There is a gracing of Transformation from Father into the image of His Son that will silence all the frustrations of your own walk with Him, because you will find Father doing this in and through you, effortlessly.  “Obedience” will bear fruit, Precious One.

You are greatly Loved, Beloved

kairos – (Kahee-ros’) – Strong’s concordance defines this word: “an occasion, I.e. set or proper  time.”  The Hebrew-Greek Key Study Bible (NASB) defines this word; “season, time, but not merely as a succession of moments, which is chronos,” [from which we derive the English word ‘chronology’].  “Kairos, however, implies not the convenience of the season, but the necessity of the task at hand, whether the time provides a good, convenient opportunity or not.”  This must be understood.  Strategic times of the Lord do not necessarily imply good or convenient times.  We are in Kairos times.  Maybe not good or convenient times, but definitely strategic, opportune times because of the season we are in.  We must have “ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches,” (Rev. 2:29), so as to respond correctly to the Kairos time.
