But You Have Come To … The Blood … THAT SPEAKS!

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the     altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood BY REASON        OF THE LIFE that makes atonement.”                                                                                                                                                                        Leviticus 17:11 (NASB)

BUT                                                                                                                                   You have come to                                                                                              THE SPRINKLED BLOOD that SPEAKS …”                                                                                                            frm. Heb. 12: 22a, 24b  (NASB)

“SEE TO IT THAT YOU DO NOT REFUSE THE [ONE] SPEAKING”                                                                                                                         Hebrews 12:25

We’ve heard a number of times concerning the Blood, from Leviticus 17:11a, that “the life of the flesh is in the blood.”  Yet suddenly it is the last half of the verse that is jumping off the page, to explain the first half, that is speaking so loudly.  The Hebrew text literally says, in word for word order, “For the blood it is, in its life, that [intentionally/ with purpose] covers/makes propitiation.”  God is literally telling us that the whole life – every sound, every breath (every wordof the life of that which is sacrificed – is implanted, rather, is recorded, as it were, in the blood; so that that life lived IS that blood, is in that blood, that is given to cover, to make propitiation (a Divine satisfaction to cover and cleanse the one for whom this blood was shed in sacrifice).  Let this sink into your ears and your heart, Beloved.  The life lived of the sacrifice before you is in the very blood spilt and sprinkled upon the altar, to cover your very life, and thus to Speak for your life before God, for this life, in this life, here.

“The next day he saw Jesus coming to him, and said,                                  “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world?””                                                                                                                John 1:29 (NASB)

“And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; for THIS is My blood of the covenant, which is being poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.””                                                                                                                   Matthew 26:27-28 (NASB)

like a lamb that is led to the slaughter                                                                                                                  …                                                                                                                        he poured out HIMSELF to death                                                                                                                           excerpt frm Isaiah 53 (NASB)

Jesus’s entire life, Beloved, every single word He spoke, every healing, every demonic deliverance, every rebuke, every single prayer He prayed which you see in each gospel (ref. Mk. 1:35; Lk. 5:16, 11:1a, et al ), likewise every word He preached and taught, every miracle that He did which are not even recorded in the gospels (see. John 21:25),  every jot and tittle of the Law He fulfilled, every single thing of Jesus’s very life is in His blood poured out!  The Authority of Heaven’s Throne, of God Himself, breathed into His Son – in Jesus’s birth and in Jesus’s water/Holy Spirit baptism, in Jesus’s Deeds, in ALL of His Words, IN THE TOTALITY OF UTTER COMPLETE STRIPPING OF SATAN, OF SIN, AND OF THE RAMIFICATIONS OF THE FALL, IN THE ACCOMPLISHMENT OF THE “MARRING  MORE THAN ANY MAN” BEATING & CRUCIFIXION – it is All in the Voice… of Jesus’s blood!

“Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the                                                  Father abiding in Me does His works.                                                                                                                                                 John 14:10 (NASB)

“Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these                                     things the Son also does in like manner.”                                                                                                                                                  John 1:29 (NASB)

Do you see, Beloved?  Can you begin to comprehend the magnitude of this?  Jesus’s whole life is in His Blood!  THIS, Precious one, is that Blood that speaks!  THIS is that Blood that God has given to us upon the cross, the Altar, to cover, to make propitiation (Rom. 3:24-25), that gives us entire free access into the Holy of Holies, at any time, without even a smidge of finger-pointing condemnation judgment (Heb. 10:19-20; 4:16; Rom. 4:25-5:2, 8:1).

This is an access that was NOT available to God’s people under the Mosaic Covenant of Law, for some 1500 years, before Jesus gave His life to the cross.  Hebrews 9 opens with a description of the tabernacle, which the LORD had given to Moses.  Something popped off the page almost glaring, in reading the distinction between the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies.  Any of the designated priests not a high priest, could enter the Holy Place in order to service the Lampstand and Altar of incense and the Table of Showbread.  No blood was needed for this service.  But it was NOT the Holy of Holies, the MOST Holy Place

What was the draw of God to want to so violently rip the veil to the Holy of Holies?

” … I will meet with you; and from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, I will speak to you about all that I will give you … ”                                                                                                                                                                                    Exodus 25:22 (NASB)

“And, when Moses entered into the tent of meeting, that He might speak with him, then he heard the Voice speaking unto him, from off the propitiatory that was upon the ark of the testimony, from between the two cherubim,—so He spake unto him.”                                                                                                                                                                  Numbers 7:89 (EBR 1902)

While it may seem awesome to enter the Holy Place outside the veil, it was not the place where God the LORD spoke with people.  Yes, Zacharaiah, in Luke ch 1, had probably the only Divine visitation ever to take place in the Holy Place, yet it still wasn’t God Himself speaking, rather an angel.  (Too many believers today would settle for this … but the Blood of Jesus has grace-gifted us to something so magnificently greater!)

The problem under the Covenant of Law …  Into THE Most Holy Place there had to be blood … and then only one time per year … not “free whenever” access.

“And the LORD said to Moses: “Tell your brother Aaron not to enter freely into the Most Holy Place behind the veil in front of the mercy seat on the ark, or else he will die ”                                                                                                                                                                   Leviticus 16:2 (Berean Study Bible)

The Blood of Jesus has Grace-gifted us free access at any time whenever for whatever.  Almighty, Awesome, Holy of Holies God has given TO US the cost of His very own Son’s blood, the very life blood of all that Jesus was as a man in His (Nephesh – נֶפֶשׁ ) Life on earth to grant us this amazing access, yes, to bring our petitions, but even more, to have Face to face contact/relationship.  He has made this way  – for Sinners, for Saints, at all times.  The blood of Jesus has not only Cleansed us, Beloved, but transforms us, giving us Jesus’s very ears to hear from His Father, our God, has given us the Authority under Jesus, as His Very Person here on earth, has given us a forever, never-ending mediating Speaking voice right there, in Heaven itself, before His God and Father, our God and Father.

THIS is the cup we drink when we are taking the LORD’s table … Jesus’s entire speaking life – all His words and deeds!

THIS is the Blood that Speaks!

Go after this, Beloved, vehemently

You are greatly loved!                                                                                              Mark Dingemans

** Beloved, take the time to go through these scriptures, and let the Holy Spirit write them and bear witness to them in your hearts and minds.  Let the Word of God and the Blood of Jesus and the witness of the Holy Spirit who lives inside of you wash through you and renew your mind.  These blogs are meant to be Bible studies, so you are free to print up any newsletter of this blog site for your own study.  Feel free to copy and reset these Newsletter with lines in them for notes.

For those of you who have believed into Jesus; take communion often (I Cor. 11:23-26; Lk. 24:30-31a).  Let communion be a refreshing of the Blood and the Spirit (Heb. 9:14) to cleanse your conscious from sin consciousness to righteousness consciousness, that you are indeed clean, as a gift of His grace.  You are no more, Dearly Beloved, under condemnation; rather, you are under justification – eternally! (Rom. 4:25b, 5:21;b; Heb. 9:11-12).  You will find the Holy Spirit of Jesus unveiling Jesus to you from the scriptures like you’ve never seen Him before.

If you have never believed into Jesus Christ, you can do so now, from your own heart and words.  If you wish to help to pray, pray, “LORD Jesus, I believe You died for me and as me because You love me.  I receive Your Forgiveness for my sin.  Thank You for shedding Your blood to cleanse me, for making me clean, for breaking the power of sin in my life, for transforming me as a gift of Your Grace to me.  I ask You to live inside of me.  I thank You, Jesus, for giving me eternal life, that I might know You and Your Father, as my God, forever.  In Your Name, LORD Jesus.  Amen!”

kairos – (Kahee-ros’) – Strong’s concordance defines this word: “an occasion, I.e. set or proper  time.”  The Hebrew-Greek Key Study Bible (NASB) defines this word; “season, time, but not merely as a succession of moments, which is chronos,” [from which we derive the English word ‘chronology’].  “Kairos, however, implies not the convenience of the season, but the necessity of the task at hand, whether the time provides a good, convenient opportunity or not.”  This must be understood.  Strategic times of the Lord do not necessarily imply good or convenient times.  We are in Kairos times.  Maybe not good or convenient times, but definitely strategic, opportune times because of the season we are in.  We must have “ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches,” (Rev. 2:29), so as to respond correctly to the Kairos time.
