“Butter Nut Scotch ” – Num. 20:2-12 (20 & 2×12) = 2024

BUTTER NUT SCOTCH

“Let not many (of you) become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we shall incur stricter judgment”                                .                                                                                                                         James 3:1  (NASB)

“But the LORD said to Moses and to Aaron, “Because you have not believed Me, to treat Me as Holy in the sight of the sons of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given to them”                                                                  .                                                                                                                      Numbers 20:12. (NASB)

When writing the Kairos for the year 2022, I had indicated that I would explain the phrase, ‘Butter Nut Scotch’, which Holy Spirit had spoken to me one morning back then just prior to Christmas.

I had a vague understanding, through researching the word ‘Scotch’, what it was that He was indicating, yet was not totally clear in my heart as to what exactly Holy Spirit wanted said through this phrase.

Over the past two years He has been, slowly, in parts, unveiling God’s heart in the matter (1 Cor. 2:11); and it is a stern issue with Him.

“So the LORD said, ” … indeed, as I live, ALL the earth WILL be filled with the Glory of the LORD.”                                                                                                     ,                                                       Numbers 14:20a-21  (NASB)

Father God is VERY intentional and purposed about expressing the weighty Glory of His Son’s sacrifice THROUGH His children IN THIS LIFE … here … on earth..

He is going to have a people on earth who WILL manifest, through willingly transformed lives, the glow of the resurrected Life of Christ Jesus (2 Cor. 3:18, 4:6-7; Heb. 8:10-11).

“in order that the manifold wisdom of God might NOW be made know through the church / the ekklesia ”                                                              .                   Ephesians 3:10  (NASB)

It is going to take host of servant leaders who carry a gut level mindset truth that their “by God” anointing is solely a eunuch / groomsmen mantle of stewardship (Jhn. 3:27-30; Esth. 2:3b; 2 Cor. 11:2), to prepare, or, make ready, a bride betrothed outright (her outright believing, in all purity, with not even a stitch of unbelief) to ONE MAN ALONE -> Christ Jesus the Lord!

…  to where the force of faith-through-love working becomes her unwrinkled royal robe of righteousness.

The Stewardship Mantle

“But the Lord said to him, ‘Go, because a vessel of-choice he-is to-Me, this (one) to bear the Name of-Me before both nations and kings, and-also Israel’s sons.”                                                                                   .                                                                          Acts 9:15

“the STEWARDSHIP of God’s Grace which was given to me for you”                                                                           Ephesians 3:2 (NASB)

There is a mantle of Divine responsibility called “the Anointing”, a Grace-gifted “Stewardship” – by God AND by Christ Jesus together (1 Tim.1:1), upon leadership, to bear and front before the church – (the ekklesia – Bride of Christ) – the Name of Jesus, that is, the integrity and Faithfulness of Gods word – His intents, His purposes, His very heart (Jhn. 1:1-9, 14, 17b, 17:6a & 8) – to where believers augment (like crazy), that is, towards growing and multiplying in their fruit bearing, of faith, of believing His Word outright, (the word of His mouth through the Living Word of the scriptures- Deut. 8:3; Mat. 4:4).

“Jesus Christ our Lord, through Whom we received Grace and apostleship to bring about an obedience of faith (of believing) among all the nations, for His Name’s sake.”                                                                              .                                                                          Romans 1:4b-5

“Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go?  You have the words of Eternal Life.” ”                                                             .                                                                                                  John 6:68  (NASB)

“the gospel – which has come to you, just as in all the world also – it is bringing forth fruit and increasing, even as in you also from the day you heard and really-knew the Grace of God in truth.”                                                           .                                                         Colossians 1:5b-6

This mantle of God’s anointing is neither a right nor an exalted position, because this has absolutely nothing to do with promoting self, rather is a Grace-gifted Stewardship by One Greater, and for HIS purpose alone, pertaining soley to His Son!

“and NO ONE takes this honor to himself, but receives it when he is called by God, ”                                                                                        ,                                                                                         Hebrews 5:4  (NASB)

“For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves, your bondservants.”                                                                                .                                                                          2 Corinthians 4:5 (NASB)

. It is a stewardship entrustment where God the Father has chosen and set apart those who have received (by taking hold of) Grace through the Cross, and have let Holy Spirit in them transform them into the image of Jesus; (yet still not for the sake of going after a position in ministry).

. They have simply gone after His life living in them and through them (Gal. 2:20), because He’d captured their hearts away from the life they’d had in Adam  (Jhn. 6:68; 2 Cor. 3:16-18; Rom.8:29; 6:4-11).

From out of that work of transformation comes to be voiced, through Holy Spirit, the “bondservant” calling.  (Luke 6:12, Mk. 3:13-14a, then 14b-15; Acts 13:2-3; Rom. 1:1; 2 Pet. 2:1a).

Their calling by God into Servanthood ministry comes because of their heart, and thus fruit of action, in betrothing and winning, AND growing up, people to know God in truth, through unveiling their Lord Jesus, their Savior and Life-transformer (Acts 13:1-2; 2 Cor. 11:2; Eph. 4:11-13).

“To me, the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to proclaim to the nations the unfathomable wealth of Christ, and to bring to light what is the STEWARDSHIP of the mystery … in order that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made know through the church / the ekklesia to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenlies … ”                                                                                                             .                                                                                       Ephesians 3:8-10

Because this bears witness as full body armor to the ekklesia body of Christ on earth, to take out giants of the kingdom of darkness (i.e. Caleb – ref. Josh. 14:6-15, 15:14-17a) in dispossessing them, in humiliating them (Josh. 10, esp vs.22-26; Col. 2:15), in possessing Divine promises which literally transforms us into the image of Jesus in HIS Victorious Resurrection Glory, in this life.

(This truth is seen in the body of the letter to the Ephesians; before he writes of the the full armor of Christ, in cptr 6, Paul unveils, through the 1st five chptrs, what is our salvation through the cross and the consequential transformation.

Being dressed in that chptr 6 Armor of Christ Jesus to stand against the spiritual world forces of darkness doesn’t work successfully uninterrupted where the Grace instruction of the first five chapters is ignored.

.   This truth MUST be paid attention to, because there is so very much “spiritual warfare”, both ongoingly perceived [ – apart from the rest of Faith – ] and also actually being done, because the truth and Holy Spirit working of transformation through the finished work of cross, as Paul taught in Ephesians 1-5, is NOT foundationed in much of the body of Christ,… so the Saints live worn out & tired in their faith walk, trying to practice cptr 6 apart from a rock foundation in their hearts of the Holy Spirit Grace work of the previous 5 chptrs, … with no vision of the end of battling – see Is. 40:1-2a ).

There is a stewardship of the mystery imperative to be made known to the bride of Christ, in order for her to be captured and foundationed by the wealth of this Grace.  Because this foundation set into her heart Graces her to rightly steward the mystery, as an ekklesia.

“So the LORD said, ” … indeed, as I live, ALL the earth WILL be filled with the Glory of the LORD.”                                                                                                     ,                                                      Numbers 14:20a-21  (NASB)

For the expression of mystery through the ekklesia, through the church who is the Bride of Christ, is the express image ON EARTH of Christ Jesus Himself, in the Power and Force of God’s Glory in Jesus’s Resurrection, His ascension, indeed, His very Throne seated Majesty as Lord … before principalities and authorities in the heavenlies.

.. Selah … (let that sink into your heart & mind).

“that you may be filled up to ALL the fulness of God. …                         . … to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.”                       .                                                                   Ephesians 3:19b, 4:13b  (NASB)

  . It is the Eph. 3:19 & 4:13b “God’s Glory” answer to Paul’s Ephesians 1:16-23 & 3:14-19a prayers

.  It is the manifestation, Beloved, on earth, of YHVH the LORD’s emphatically sworn decree of Numbers 14:21!

The Severity of Rightly Bearing His Name

.  If THIS stewardship is not unveiled, the church, the believers, will not take hold of the Promise in this Stewardship, and will thus not see or understand God’s purposed intent to manifest boldly His Son’s ‘finished work of the cross’ victory through Christ Jesus’s very body on earth, as He DID do through Jesus, as seen in the Gospels, after His baptism in water & Holy Spirit, when He walked on earth, wreaking havoc on the kingdom of darkness (Lk.  4:14; Acts 10:38 ; 1 Jhn. 3:8b).

She, the ekklesia, will come short of believing her Lord outright, not thus believing that He actually IS Lord, (because the giants will be, in truth, greater in the eyes of her heart); and she will consequently forfeit the Promise through this Stewardship …

… exactly the same way as did the generation of Israel delivered out of Egypt, who did not inherit the Promise …

…  and this, because ten of their leaders misrepresented the LORD, and so robbed the people of staying in right believing (Num. 13:34 – 14:4).  They unwittingly let be be snatched ‘trust’ in the Awesome God Who’d so superanturally delivered them from out of years of hard bondage in slavery – a simple, childlike faith, of which Joshua and Caleb tried passionately to convince the people to not let go  (Num. 13:30 & 14:6-9).

“As for the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land and who returned and made all the congregation grumble against him by bringing out a bad {lit. “an evil”] report concerning the land, even those men who brought out the very bad report of the land died by a plague before the LORD.”                                                                                                                                                                       Numbers 14:37  (NASB)

Let it, therefore, be said again:

.   Almighty God our Father is VERY intentional and purposed about expressing the weighty Glory of His Son’s image – the victory of Jesus’s sacrifice, His resurrection, AND His acsencion to God’s Throne “far above ALL principalities and authorities and  powers and lordships and every name named”  THROUGH His children (Rom. 8:29), in THIS life, individualy, yet with visioned purposed intent collectively, as “the Body of Christ Himself, here on earth! –  (See Psalms 110:1-3a)

THIS, above, is what He meant when He swore back Numbers 14:21 that, as He lives, “ALL the earth WILL be filled with His glory“.  This has not dissipated in Him, Beloved, whatsoever.

While we love the LORD’s emphatic decree boldly declared by Him, the context of His Numbers 14:21 statement is extremely sobering.

.  As already stated, this bold decree was made because a whole generation, an entire nation – God’s elect at that time – were talked out of believing Him outright to go in to possess promised by Him inheritance by reason of 10 of12 appointed leaders, these Numbers 13:4-16 named men, who would die by a plague shortly after the LORD decreed His Glory.

These 10 appointed men did not realize, in their seeding a firestorm of unbelief into the precious lives of an entire generation, over whom they had been set apart to bring back good news of their Promised inheritance, that they had been under a stewardship which carried strict judgment for misrepresenting the LORD in their report.

.  Those forty days scouting the Promised land, and maybe only a couple afterwards, would be their last on earth.

For their words, the report of the 10 leaders, in the ears of the people caused the LORD to be deemed ‘unfaithful’ to carry out and thus give to them the Divine promise He’d promised them (back in Egypt – Ex. 3:8, 4:29-31) … and this is exactly how they perceived Him throughout the next 38 years in the desert (Num. 14:1-3; 21:5).

God the LORD had shown to His people His glory through how He’d delivered them from slavery under Pharoah, IN ORDER TO SET OUTRIGHT BELIEVING INTO THEM … SO THAT HE COULD SET AND MANIFEST HIS GLORY THROUGH THEM!

YHVH had wanted to express His glory THROUGH A BELIEVING GENERATION, a collective body of believers, in the eyes and hearing of the world … because this would have set fear and awe of Israel’s God, causing nations to forsake their gods for the One True Greatest God! (see the impact of this truth in both in Josh. 2:1, 8-11, & in Esther 8:7-17).

.  All of this thus brings us to the statement which I heard Holy Spirit speak early one morning, just before Christmas, two years ago.

BUTTER NUT SCOTCH”

“But the LORD said to Moses and to Aaron, “Because you have not believed Me, to treat Me as Holy in the sight of the sons of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given to them”                                                                  .                                                                                                                     Numbers 20:12 (NASB)

When Holy SpIrit first spoke “Butter Nut Scotch” that morning, I knew that it was His voice.  But I had absolutely no idea what He meant.  I didn’t even know there was another definition to the word, “Scotch”, other than it being either an identity of a people group, the brand name of clear tape, or an alcholic drink.

In researching to know if there was another definition, and actually finding that there is, immediately I understood that He had clear intention in the phrase, yet with a bit of humor (though the subject matter is serious).

Scotch – “to put a definite end to, to crush, to stamp out, to foil”

From Cambridge Dictionary:
.         TO PREVENT SOMETHING FROM BEING BELIEVED                  .             or being done”

and again from this:
.To scotch is, most often, to prevent plans, efforts, or desires
.               … from coming about.”

What came to me from Him when I saw this, was the phrase, “Better not scotch” in an Irish accent.  I could hear “YOU BUTTER NUT SCOTCH … ” as though being somewhat harshly ordered by an Irishman who was giving strict command to not foil his order’s purposed intention whatsoever!

.   That which Father God unveiled from Numbers 20:2-12 on January 1st this year both sharpened understanding and laid the Word as the foundation scripture for unveiling His explanation of “Butter Nut Scotch.”

Let me first set an exhortation, in writing this kind of ‘open to believers’ letter, to those not in leadership, or not yet set into the “ultimate” place of ministry in which you believe you will be one day:

Fault-finding and finger pointing is a deed of the devil, not Holy Spirit (Zech. 3:1; Rev. 12;10b; Heb. 10;15-17).

In the secular work world I have been both a common laborer and manager and one time owner of my own business.  I am so aware that that those not in leadership can, quite easilty, find fault with those in positions of authority over them, not realizing pressures, perspectives, or insights which leaders do have and know, yet not known to those under them.

This is clearly seen in the years of non-stop criticisms by the common people against Moses and Aaron, which actually were all against the LORD.  What they didn’t realize is that the LORD was hearing everything being said in private.  Moreover, this grumbling became the very wall that kept them from being able to inherit Divine promises (Ex. 16:8; Ps. 106;25a).

.  Your entire perspective of issues changes when you are handed a place of authority, realizing the accountability stewardship you are being given; you suddenly become very slow to criticisize.

.  At all costs, Beloved, guard your heart & your lips from fault-finding finger pointing private complaint and gossip, especially against leadership, should certain leaders’ names pop up in your memory while reading this Kairos (Phil. 2;13-15).  I believe this attitude of fault-finding sets a blockage before Holy Spirit from future Divine promotions.’

(Wisdom from Scripture – Consider David’s expressed heart attitude toward King Saul, that the LORD paid attention.  You see this by His promotion of him later.  He that has ears to hear…)

…  Selah  …

“And Jesus, … seeing the multitudes, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and thrown down like sheep not having a shepherd.”                                                                                                 .                                                                             Matthew 9;35a, 36  (NASB)

Father God looks at His people through gentle lovingkindness, like children, like sheep.  Children and sheep will do things wrongly,  whether intentionally or not.  Even so, Father God wants faith in His people like little children, and He doesn’t want this kind of faith crushed!

“The LORD is my Shepherd,”                                                                            .             [Lit. “YHVH, (the One) shepherding me”                                                                                                                                                            Psalms 23;1a

“Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child, in no way might he enter into it.”                                            .                                                                                                              Mark 10:15

“Do not fear, little flock, for your Father took delight to give you the kingdom.”                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Luke 12;32  (BLB)

.  There is a revelation of God’s gentle lovingkindness in His Grace.  For the one set apart as a shepherd in the Kingdom, he or she must also be aware that this position of “shepherd” (you ARE this towards the sheep, no matter what is your title function, no matter if your place is or is not “Pastor”, because you are anointed to serve Jesus’s sheep), this set apart place in which you are serving carries the stewardship responsibility of rightly bearing His nature and character of gentle, Holy love, exactly as did Jesus of His Father.

“And He (Jesus) is radiance of His (God’s) Glory and  the exact representation of His (God’s) nature … ”                                      .                                                                                 Hebrews 1:3a  (NASB)

“Here is My Servant, whom I uphold,                                                            .My Chosen One, in whom My soul delights.                                                  .I will put My Spirit on Him,                                                                                 and He will bring justice to the nations.                                                       He will not cry out nor raise His voice,                                                       nor make His voice heard in the streets.                                                          A bruised reed He will not break                                                                      and a smoldering wick He will not extinguish;                                          . He will faithfully bring forth justice.                                                ..               He will not be disheartened or crushed,                                                      Until He has established justice in the earth.”                                                                                                                          Isaiah 42:1-4a  (BSB/NASB)

Jesus expressed the exact nature of God Who put His Spirit upon Him.  When it says of Jesus, “He will not raise His voice … A bruised reed He will not break and a smoldering wick He will not extinguish”, He is literally unveiling to the world exactly what God our Father’s nature is really like.

.  Jesus did not just only speak what He heard the Father say, He said it according to the true nature of God, in the truth of purity in gentle lovingkindness, according the the Spirit of His Father upon Him.

” … the fruit of the Spirit (God’s Spirit Whom He’s given to us exactly as He did upon Jesus) is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,  goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control;”                                                                                                Galatians 5:22-23a (NASB)

Simultaneously, the ones set apart into this stewardship carry a groomsman anointing, because they are part of betrothing a bride to One Man alone.  (Jhn. 3:29; 2 Cor. 11:2).

.  Your anointing carries the responsibility to not only share and teach God’s word in unveiling Jesus, but also to have had the Holy Spirit work of transformation by that grace which captured your heart, to where His character of Love is in the fabric of who you now are in Christ as this servant-leader.

This kind of transformation into the image of Jesus honors the weightiness of His glory in you, in your life lived, (especially when no one is looking!) – (2 Cor.  4:6-7).  It pours out God’s lovingkindness through your speech, your words, both what AND HOW you say them … exactly the same way LORD Jesus speaks to  you!

“God, ‘LOVE‘ He is”                                                                                                      .                                                        I John 4:8b & 16 (Lit. frm Grk. Txt.)

Love is patient, love is kind, … is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong,  … covers all (things), believes all (things), hopes all (things), endures all (things) Love NEVER fails!                                                                                 excrpt frm 1 Corinthians  13:4-8  (NASB)

.  Your anointing is poured out upon you towards continually drawing hearers towards Jesus, towards their growing in their believing Him outright, with absolutely no fear set into them pertaining to their drawing close to Him … because they see His nature and His Presence in YOUR life!  (1 Cor.  11:1; I Thess.  1;6-7).

Your anointing is given to grow them into a dependency upon JESUS, to where they know how to, and long to, go after Him for Grace transformation into His image, that is, His life living in them and through them, with no trepidation, especially when you are no longer in the picture

.  Why?  …

Because His image in her life IS her Royal Robe of Righteousness.        (I Cor. 1;30; Rev. 19;7-8).

I am the good Shepherd; the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. …

“and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name,  . and leads them out.  When he puts forth all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice.        .

And a stranger they simply will not follow, but will flee from him, because they do no know the voice of strangers. ..  My sheep hear My voice, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they shall never perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My hand.”                                                                                                                                                                                                  John 10:11, 3-5, 27-28  (NASB)

When the nature and character of Jesus are misrepresented through you as a shepherd of His sheep, the ‘voice’ of Jesus that is supposed to be entering the ears of your hearers when you speak sounds strange – it doesn’t sound like Christ Jesus Who drew them to Him and saved  them.

.  Look again at the definition of “Scotch”:

TO PREVENT SOMETHING FROM BEING BELIEVED                         or being done”                                                                            .

To scotch is, most often, to prevent plans, efforts, or desires .           … from coming about.”

A harsh word at any time through one who has been set apart by Holy Spirit has the potential to literally ‘Scotch’ the walk of Jesus’s sheep, even to the point of foiling ‘believed for’ God Promises through the scriptures, for this life.

.  It is this misprepresentation of His Name which warning Holy Spirit spoke that morning several years ago: “Butter Nut Scotch”

This misrepresentation of Jesus’s Name, which you bear, has a detrimental effect to possibly set a wrong type of fear – a trepidation – of God, into the soul, heart, and mind of those listening to you … to where the sheep, which are His, are now actually afraid to approach Him, afraid to draw near to the throne of Grace.

This is a serious matter with God our Father, Beloved leader.

But Jesus said, “Permit the little children, and do not forbid them to come to[wards} Me, for of such is the kingdom of the heavens.”   .                                                                                 Matthew 19:14  (NASB)

This is what came to me on January 1st:

Holy Spirit put on my heart to turn to the account of Moses in Numbers 20:2-12.  It was here, towards the end of Israel’s forty years in the wilderness, a new generation having arisen, and he is on the verge of finally leading the people into the promise – the whole reason he’d been set apart into this stewarship so many years before  (Ex. 3, esp. v 8 &17).

“and there was no water for the congregation; and they assembled themselves against Moses and Aaron.  The people thus conteneded with Moses and spoke, saying, “If only we had perished when our brothers perished before the LORD!  Why then have you brought the LORD’s assembly into the wilderness, for us and our beasts to die here?  … “

Then Moses and Aaron came in from the presence of the assembly to the doorway of the tent of meeting, and fell on their faces.

Then the Glory of the LORD appeared to them (Lit. “And was-seen, YHVH’s [weighty] glory, to them”).  And the LORD spoke to Moses,  saying, “Take the rod; and you and your brother Aaron assemble the congregation and speak to the rock before their eyes, that it may yield it’s water.  You shall thus bring forth water for them out of the rock and let the congregation and their beasts drink. “

So Moses took the rod from before the LORD  (see Num. 17:1-11, esp. v 8 & 10), just as He had commanded him; and Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly before the rock.  And he said to them,  “Listen now, you rebels; shall we bring forth water for you out of this rock?”

Then Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came forth abundantly,  and the congregation  and their beasts drank.

“But the LORD said to Moses and to Aaron, “Because you have not believed Me, to treat Me as Holy in the sight of the sons of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given to them”                                                                                                                                                                                   Numbers 20:2-12 (NASB)

It is here where Moses misrepresented the kindness of the LORD intended towards the complaining people, turning what YHVH had commanded him into harsh words … as though THIS is what YHVH had given this appointed/set-apart steward of the LORD’s sheep to say for the miracle (which DID occur) to take place for them.

YHVH’s character, through the kindness of Holy Grace, in His Name, (of which Moses had learned – seen AND heard – back in Exodus 34:6) was utterly distorted …  his striking the rock twice in a frustrated outburst of anger was a prophetic picture of a leader striking Jesus – His body (the ekklesia) – after He had already been struck (Ex. 17;1-6; Lk. 23:33), as though the work of the cross was not enough to correct and transform the flock.

Look back, Beloved, at the last sentence of v6: “The glory of the LORD was seen to them.”  Moses and Aaron are on the verge of entering into rest, into Divine promise, about to alas lead a people, God’s people, into inheritance, after FORTY YEARS IN THE WILDERNESS.

But they took for granted the weightiness of YHVH’s glory because of frustration with flesh, that of the LORD’s sheep, and let the voice of their own flesh, while under anointing, and having just encountered weighty Glory, rob their stewardship’s ultimate destiny.

.  There was no way this new generation was going to be able to confidently trust their Awesome YHVH through all that needed to be done under His direction and power in leading them to dispossess giants in order to possess Promise under a leader who set his anger as YHVH’s voice, as a skewed resonance through their hearts.

“YHVH’s “Holy” had been misrepresented. The Shepherd of Heaven was not going to allow another generation to be Scotched of His Promise, His Delight to splurge His Psalms 23 goodness upon His people.

One Final Word

When this stewardship anointing is abused, in whatever manner,  (most especially in immorality), it corrupts the very Name of the LORD in the Grace that it bears before His people.  They can no longer hear Jesus rightly through your words, because the resonance of your having misrepresented Jesus’s Name echos inside of His sheep.

” “I shall also raise up shepherds over them, and they will pasture them; and they will not be afraid any longer, nor be terrified, nor  will any be left unattended,” declares YHVH.”                                                                                               Jeremiah 23:4   (Legacy Standard Bible)

God our Father doesn’t want child-like faith in His people scotched.

“So the LORD said to Moses, “Take Joshua… a man in whom is My Spirit, and lay your hands on him, and have him stand before Eliezer the priest and before all the congregation, and commission him in their sight, ”                                                                                                    .                                                                         Numbers 27:I8 -19  (NASB)

Joshua had been sitting in tent of meeting, hearing precious intimate conversation between YHVH and Moses (Ex.  33:11b); he had come to learn the voice of the LORD, the Word of YHVH,  the very heartbeat breath of his God (Josh. 1:1-9).  The weightiness of all of this was being treasured up inside of Joshua,  …

and YHVH was paying attention the entire time (Deut.  1:38).

Joshua would come to learn through Moses’s costly mistake, what “Butter Nut Scotch” meant when pertaining to God the LORD’s purposed intent to get manifest through His people His Numbers 14:21 decree!  (Josh. 6;10).

He that has ears to hear, let him hear.

Are you listening, Beloved?

–  If you have never believed into Jesus Christ, you can do so now, from your own heart and words.  If you wish help to pray, pray, “LORD Jesus, I believe You died for me and as me because You love me.  I receive Your Forgiveness for my sin.  Thank You for shedding Your blood to cleanse me, for making me clean, for breaking the power of sin in my life, for transforming me as a gift of Your Grace to me.  I ask You to live inside of me.  I thank You, Jesus, for giving me eternal life, that I might know You and Your Father, as my God, forever.  In Your Name, LORD Jesus.  Amen!”

If you just believed into Jesus, if you prayed this prayer to believe into Jesus, it is of great importance that you be water baptized (Mk. 16:16a; Acts 10:47-48a; Rom.6:4).  And ask Jesus to baptize you in Holy Spirit & fire.  Share your faith, what Jesus has done for you.

–   For those of you who have believed into Jesus; take communion often (I Cor. 11:23-26; Lk. 24:30-31a).  Let communion be a refreshing of the Blood and the Spirit (Heb. 9:14) to cleanse your conscious from sin consciousness to righteousness consciousness, that you are indeed clean, as a gift of His grace.  You are no more, Dearly Beloved, under condemnation; rather, you are under justification – eternally! (Rom. 4:25b, 5:21;b; Heb. 9:11-12).  You will find the Holy Spirit of Jesus unveiling Jesus to you from the scriptures like you’ve never seen Him before.

kairos – (Kahee-ros’) – Strong’s concordance defines this word: “an occasion, I.e. set or proper  time.”  The Hebrew-Greek Key Study Bible (NASB) defines this word; “season, time, but not merely as a succession of moments, which is chronos,” [from which we derive the English word ‘chronology’].  “Kairos, however, implies not the convenience of the season, but the necessity of the task at hand, whether the time provides a good, convenient opportunity or not.”  This must be understood.  Strategic times of the Lord do not necessarily imply good or convenient times.  We are in Kairos times.  Maybe not good or convenient times, but definitely strategic, opportune times because of the season we are in.  We must have “ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches,” (Rev. 2:29), so as to respond correctly to the Kairos time.
