The Promise of the Father, The Sound of Heaven, The Voice of the Blood – The Holy Spirit!

“And there came to be, suddenly / unexpectedly, from out of heaven, A NOISE, even as a rushing of a breath / of a wind (that is) forceful /violent, and it  [“the Noise” (not “the wind”) filled the whole house where they were sitting.  And there was seen to them [there appeared to them] ‘being-divided’ tongues as-if of-fire.  And it-sat (each tongue that looked like it was of fire (from of that noise of heaven which sounded like a breath that is forceful)) upon each one of them.  And they were filled, all, with Holy Spirit and they began to speak with other tongues (that is, in other languages), according-as the Spirit was giving to-utter-forth to them (that is, according as the Spirit was giving to them to declare) … the great things of God!”                                                                                                                                                   Acts 2:2-4, 11b  (Lit. frm Grk text)

00It is amazing to me, in the period of the extreme violence of the Roman era, in the intentional birthing at this very time by Almighty God Himself of the New Covenant, that the gospel, the Good News of Christ Jesus, took root and spread throughout that empire and beyond.  The impact – to so many Jews, even from the beginning of Pentecost, after Jesus’s resurrection and ascension, and then to the nations –  as seen throughout the book of Acts, is incredible. In a time of severe darkness over the earth, in an age that seemed virtually a giant impossibility that any hope of escape for all peoples from out of an age-to-age, generation-to-generation darkness and gloom, that the veil, which had been over the earth since Adam had rejected giving his heart’s ear to the Voice of God, to the breath of His Spirit, and had gone ahead and eaten of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (ref.  Gen.  3), that that veil was forever torn apart at Jesus’s last breath on the cross (Is. 25:7-8a; 28:15-18; Mat. 27:50-51).

 —  Almighty God, the Creator and Lover of our souls, had, alas, a permanent open heaven through which to grace-gift His Spirit of Light and Life and Hope through this awesome Good News of His Son, of what the full work of His Son’s sacrifice to the cross had accomplished for mankind, to any and everyone of any tongue on this planet, each person, male and female, old and young, all whom He’d made for His glory.

I love that our Awesome God took the “challenge” of doing this at a time of deep darkness in the earth (Is. 60:2-3), making known to the spirits of darkness and to the sons of men that He alone is God, that He could so powerfully pour out the oil of His exceeding goodness in this demonstration of His crazy awesome Mercy, and that there is no other that even comes close… that the voice of the spirit of darkness, the then ruler of the authority of the air, was not even a match.  (Isaiah 43:11; 44:6b, 8b; 45:21b-22).  (satan’s greatest and complete stripping came to be in the darkest hour on earth by a Man Who did not even give a breath against him verbally.  Read each gospel account of the entire crucifixion of Jesus, Beloved; not one single time did Jesus breathe a word against the ruler of darkness … yet so fully stripped him!  – Isaiah 53:7; Lk. 22:53; Jhn. 14:30b; Col. 2:14b-15)

AaWhat Father was after changing, Beloved, FOREVER, was  …  the breath to whom we were listening and the consequential voice that we were voicing.

AaThe unrestrained cruelty, which had shown itself so brashly in the sacrifice of the Man, Jesus – God’s Son, the World’s Savior – in that dark Roman era which valued no life at all (Is. 52:14; Ps. 22:1, 11-18), bore witness to the spirit of darkness to whom this earth had been giving ear and voice, and thus letting be expressed in their deeds (Jhn. 8:37b-38,44; Lk. 22:53b; Rom. 3:9-18, Col. 1:21, et al.).  Yet, in the wisdom of God that initially appears absolutely foolish, from and through this beyond costly sacrifice, in the spilling of every drop of Jesus’s blood upon the dirt from which He’d made us, He gave back to earth a value to the seed of the first Adam, to every single human being!  His intent, from eternity, Beloved, was His image, His glory, as seen through His Son, for you and I, in you and I,  … and so, THROUGH you and I, right down to the natural flowing utterance of the words of our mouth.  (Jhn. 1:14; Rom. 5:2b & 5; Col. 3:3; et al.).

AaMankind, utterly apart from the Spirit of God, is so void of true valuing of one another, and even of self; because true Divine worth is not heard from heaven, is just not seen or taken to heart, in darkness and hopelessness of life (Jhn. 14:17a).  Our breath voices that to which we have given the eyes and ears of our heart’s attention.  Accordingly, how could mankind declare any true worth out of his lips when, totally apart from any ongoing living connection, from any relationship at all, to the Spirit of Holy God, he’s not even hearing from the only One who gives value because of having created man in His image? (Rom. 8:6a, 7a).  How could man breathe and voice true worth when the ruler of the air of this age only breathes out “worthless”, “no value”?  (Rom. 3:10-18; Eph.  2:1-3)

To be born again, however, is to have a new heart which can hear  …  ongoingly, from the breath of the Blood that redeemed us, from the Voice of the Father’s immensely beyond awesome love for us. (Is.  59:20-21; Ez. 36:26-27; Jer. 31:33-34, Heb. 12:25; Rom. 5:5).

We needed an open heaven AND a stripped ruler of this age, in order to restore to us true hearing from the One Who has been far exceedingly higher than the one who had ruled man’s hearing since the garden.  For it was hearing the LORD God, the only and true, which was lightly esteemed and thus rejected by the first Adam, through whom we were all born.  We needed our “hearing” born again, so that our speech could be born again and transformed, ransomed from selfishness, hopeless negativity, and finger pointing accusation … from everything that saw and accorded no value, rather worked incessantly to de-value. (Rom.12:2; 1 Pet. 1:13-2:2).

AaThat glory from God the Father, which unveils worth and value, and so changes our very speech – the words of our heart – is cornerstoned, Precious one, in the cost of His only begotten Son’s sacrifice to the cross.  The glory from which we’d fallen short, the ugliness of just how far from the image and likeness of our Creator we stood, was seen in the fullness of the shame which Jesus our Savior let be violently done to Him, through the however long it took to marr Him beyond recognition scourging, and then in the six hours in which He hung nailed in that state, naked, to that wood on Golgatha’s hill, in full eyesight of both Jews and Romans …

…   Selah   …

—–… all to trade us, in this redemption cost, that forfeited Glory in which He had been clothed … from eternity.  (Jhn. 1:14,17:4).

…   Selah   …

AaThis Divine value – this Glory that was to be the proof of redemption, of transformation, right down to our very speech, that is, the breath of our spirits – began to come into manifest reality for us in one breathing of Jesus immediately after His Resurrection.

It being, therefore, evening, on that day, the first of the week, …, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and told them, “Peace to you;” and this having said, He shewed them His hands and side; the disciples, therefore, rejoiced, having seen the Lord.  Jesus, therefore, said to them again, “Peace to you; according as the Father hath sent Me, I also send you;” and this having said, He breathed on them and tells them, “Receive Holy Spirit;  Whoever’s sins you forgive, they are forgiven them” “                                                                                                                                                     John 20:19-23a.  (v20-22 YLT)                                                                      (ref. also Ezek. 37:4-5, 6b)

Jesus shows to them the holes in His hands [& feet, per Luke 24:39-40] (Can you stop for a moment and picture this, Beloved, in your imagination, as though you are right there?     …    Look at those holes He will not give up,     …    and let this all sink into your heart while He breathes into you, telling you to receive Holy Spirit, then continues speaking as to “forgiveness”, that is, YOU forgiving, releasing this grace-gift He just breathed into you into others, … and you keep looking to each arm and foot of His to gaze again at those nail holes in His resurrected body) …

You’ve got to pay attention to this point, Precious one.  The eternal impact in this life of the breath of His Spirit and His succeeding words that are to follow this unveiling of the holes in His body, I believe, is directly relational to our hearts not allowing to escape the reality of this, that this Eternal Man, Who now sits as King and our LORD with God, will forever hold fast to these scars as an eternal truth and grace-gift of our Forgiveness, and our consequential Freedom to henceforth live out of that eternal forgiveness before one another – before those having believed and those never having believed into Jesus – in our daily, Monday through Saturday, walk in our regular lives. – Ref. II Cor. 5:14-21.

then He shows them the still open hole in His side … and speaks “Peace” to them (“no condemnation” – Rom. 4:25-5:1, 8:1) and tells them He’s sending them exactly as Father had sent Him  …  with this message of … Peace towards God !!!”

Jesus had been pierced through for their transgressions, for the sins of every single human being born to Adam … so that Mercy – full and forever forgiveness/release of sin, of guilt, of shame – could be the Grace-truth of that “Peace towards God” received by anyone in the very face of Holy God now made our Father, our eternal “Abba.” (Rom. 4:24-26; 8:15-16).

His breathing into them, His telling them to receive Holy Spirit, was the full confirmation, Beloved, by God Himself through Jesus, that they had been wholly forgiven with not one single finger-pointing remembrance of one single thing they’d ever sinned or would ever sin against Him.  The words following, that of their forgiving others (releasing through this Spirit-breathed into them gift], was to be the life-ing grace of living water from out of them that was to be the evidence of the fountain, of what they’d just got breathed into them.  (Jer. 31:31, 33-34; Heb. 9:14-15; You must read Hebrews 8:8-12; 10:15,17 to understand the impact of the above paragraph).

“The one believing into Me, as the Scripture has said: ‘Rivers, out of his belly will flow, of living water.’ ”  This, then, He said concerning the Spirit, whom those having believed into Him were about to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.”                                                                                                John 7:38-39

OoAs these words from Jesus, in John 20:19-23, are sinking into their ears, having gazed at the four nail holes in each one of His hands and feet, as well as the spear hole, He continues as to the Good News they’ll take with them unto their fellow Jews and then to the nations.  The message of this Good News starts with His breath, God’s Holy Spirit, being breathed into them, and continues, in words, what His breathing His Spirit that is Holy into them means.  Look at this passage again, Dear One, and picture the scene as you carefully read through it, letting the final phrase of Jesus below take root into the foundation and fiber of all of your heart’s faith:

It being, therefore, evening, on that day, the first of the week, …, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and told them, “Peace to you;” and this having said, He shewed them His hands and side; the disciples, therefore, rejoiced, having seen the Lord.  Jesus, therefore, said to them again, “Peace to you; according as the Father hath sent Me, I also send you;”  and this having said, He breathed on them and tells them, “Receive Holy Spirit; Whoever’s sins you forgive, they are forgiven them ” “                                                                                                                                                    John 20:19-23a.  (v20-22 YLT)

We have not comprehended the magnitude of what Father, as God, as HOLY God, is doing in this moment through His ‘having been crucified for the whole world’ Son.  I’m telling you, Precious saints, we do not understand how monster huge is this breath of Jesus in impacting this earth, especially those of us not Jewish, not having been brought up in strict Torah/Law teaching.

If you recall the account of the paralytic being lowered through the roof by four men, where Jesus, seeing the believing into Him of the four men lowering this man before Him, heals the man through forgiving him of the sin he’d committed which had gotten him into this calamity, and how the religious leaders, privately in their hearts, said, “This (man) blasphemes.  Who can forgive sins but God alone.” (see Mk. 2:1-12), then you understand a bit the grace-gifting breath of Jesus taking place after His suffering, in that upper room.

There is a word in the Old Covenant used only 46 times, which first use in Scripture is when Moses is up on Sinai pleading for the people after the sin of the golden calf orgi  (Ex. 34:9).  This very word, ” סָלַח – saLACKH ” (sounds like “saw -LACK” with a hard gutteral H at the end), is a verb meaning “to forgive, to pardon”, and is an action that ONLY YHVH/God could do.  It was never an action from man to man, from person to person.

I looked up the Hebrew translation of the New Testament account by Jesus in Mark 2, and it is this very verb.  It literally was an authoritative force of God Himself that carried the power to carry out all that this verb denotes, a forgiveness that pardons and so releases from the power and work of sin itself.  Jesus, using this verb, shows the evidence of “Emmanuel” / God with Him/in Him by His (God’s) Holy Powerful Spirit, when this paralytic, healed, getting up and walking out, was indeed pardoned and released from the power of Sin that had bound him in paralysis.

It is THIS authoritative power of God’s Very Spirit, through the power and force of the resurrected Christ Jesus standing there before the eyes of all who were gathered in the upper room, showing the holes that brought about the Mercy and Grace, that He was now breathing as a grace-gift in believers for believers to let pour out in a fountain of Living water to a dying, thirsting world needing this very thing specifically.  This is where the reality of God in you, Jesus in you, Holy Spirit in you, becomes real, becomes the weighty glory, of which the accuser, the spirit of darkness, is afraid more than anything … because this single voice of His breath (Holy Spirit of Father God AND Jesus as One Voice – Jhn. 14:23b; Rom. 8:9) through YOU, through your lips from out of your heart, is the voice of the blood of Jesus manifesting, speaking on earth … as it is in heaven, from heaven’s very throne. (Ref. Lk. 23:34a, Heb. 12:22a, 24b; See Paul’s prayer in Eph. 1:16b-2:7, esp. 1:19-20).

… Selah … (Please stop, Beloved, and let the Holy Spirit breathe this deeply into you.)

We needed a new nature, imperatively, this Last Adam’s life, literally, so that we could hear, really fully and always hear. The hearing, our whole life in Christ hearing from of Father, the Value of His Only begotten Son’s life voiced through Jesus’s now and forever speaking blood, not only causes us to be born again, but far increasingly more, transforms us, growing up our New nature in Christ, in the ‘deposited-in-us’ weighty estimation Father God destined for us in and through Christ Jesus from before creation (Eph. 1:4).

To give attention to His voice, to the very voice of the Blood of Jesus, yes, of His very Holy Spirit in us, is to give back glory to God for Jesus our Savior and what is the finished work of His cross into us, causing us to return to Father, in our daily lives and words, the weighty estimation of what is Jesus’s breathed into us “Forgiveness”, that breath of God’s Holy Spirit.  This is where unfading glory, which Moses never knew, rests and glows from off of us in this life in the face of our Savior from His blood sprinkled throne. (II Cor. 3:7b, 17-18; 5:17-21).

OThe Grace-gift of God’s glory, Beloved, of the Hope of the glory from which we’d always come short, is, then, foundationed in this breath of Jesus into us  …   FORGIVENESS   …   completely and forever !!!

Jesus showed to these men, who were to be the leaders and builders of this new dwelling of God in the Spirit called “the church”, the holes still in His hands and feet and side, from of the nails that had held Him to the cross, and of the soldier’s spear used to pierce Him in order to fully confirm His death, that they might know this was indeed their Lord alive from the dead.   But I think even more than this, Beloved, He was showing them these forever scar holes of our redemption in order that this sight would cause the reality and depth of what He was about to do – the breath of God’s forgiveness to the world, the cost of the grace-gift of His Spirit, this precious wealth of breathed in eternal forgiveness – that this cost of granting all that is this liberty from God into mankind, might never leave them, and might be the remembrance life-ing by His Holy Spirit through them their proclamation of this Good News.  It is what takes place in this moment for which the next breath, to be noised in all Jerusalem, was to be the dunamis able-ing of God Himself through earthen vessels who’d believed into Jesus, in order to draw the entire world into this grace-gift of God’s forgiveness. (Jhn. 12:32; Lk. 24:44-49; Acts 1:8).

The view of these, their Savior, LORD and Friend’s crucifixion scars, along with the breathing in them of His Spirit and the words that followed, forever cleansed, changed, and transformed the Spirit of their now born again nature, readying them for the fire about to hit their tongues in a baptism dunking of God’s Holy Spirit that would forever transform their speech, the utterance of their lips from the well spring of their new hearts.

There is so much more on my heart to share with you, Beloved.   But the wealth of Grace here, above, let be poured over you, allowing Holy Spirit, the very voice from the Blood of Jesus right now speaking from heaven’s Throne, heaven’s Mercy Seat, be the refreshing soaking, transforming working in your heart and mind.

Let Holy Spirit, by the Word – the scriptures given in this teaching – along with this teaching, cause your Believing, your faith into Jesus, to grow, and grow fruit, as He washes clean the spirit of your mind from the stuff of this age that has stifled your heart’s yearning for growth from heaven.

You will find a sudden supernatural gracing “naturally” changing even your very speech, to where you find yourself believing Jesus for far more than you even imagined was possible for yourself.

Y’all, each and every one of you, are so loved.

kairos – (Kahee-ros’) – Strong’s concordance defines this word: “an occasion, I.e. set or proper  time.”  The Hebrew-Greek Key Study Bible (NASB) defines this word; “season, time, but not merely as a succession of moments, which is chronos,” [from which we derive the English word ‘chronology’].  “Kairos, however, implies not the convenience of the season, but the necessity of the task at hand, whether the time provides a good, convenient opportunity or not.”  This must be understood.  Strategic times of the Lord do not necessarily imply good or convenient times.  We are in Kairos times.  Maybe not good or convenient times, but definitely strategic, opportune times because of the season we are in.  We must have “ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches,” (Rev. 2:29), so as to respond correctly to the Kairos time.
