The Year To Hear … Bread From Heaven … The Glory of the Cross

Double Hearing

Part 2

For most of this year I have been hearing in my heart from the LORD Jesus the word “Shift”.   And I have seen it confirmed time and again from different prophetic voices who’ve written so.   In the 3rd week of September it seemed that a shift did take place in the Spirit, and it was then that I suddenly started seeing double letters and double numbers on license plates, then triple and quadruple numbers.   I have not been one who has ever noticed, in my spirit man, the Jewish New Year change, though I’ve been aware of it.   But something was different this year, with the change to the year 5778, (and even this I did not realize initially that it has a double number).  I just knew that the LORD Jesus, inside of me, seemed to indicate that double something was upon us.  Then, several different prophetic people, through what I saw on Elijah list, wrote of “double portion”, so it confirmed to me that I wasn’t seeing “double” for nothing.

But there was something else to this “double” that the Holy Spirit seemed to be indicating in my spirit.  It was in my morning times with the LORD Jesus in the Word, before work, that this began to pop out of the scriptures to unveil it.   The “Double” is seen in the Hebrew text.  It was then that other “double” words, which I had run into in the months previous from within the Hebrew text, came to remembrance.

In Exodus 16 the Hebrews, having arrived in the wilderness of Sin (sounds like “seen”), complained that there was nothing to eat.  From v3:

“and the sons of Israel said unto them
—Oh that we had died by the hand of Yahweh, in the land of Egypt,
when we remained by the pot of flesh,
when we did eat bread to the full
—for ye have brought us forth into this desert,
to cause all this multitude to die by famine.                                                                                                                                           (REB)

It is the LORD’s response that begins to unveil, I believe, that for which He is looking, from His people.  I have had this in my spirit for several months that He is really intent (adamant?) as to this.  Upon opening Exodus 16 a couple of weeks ago, what I’d been sensing in my Spirit was confirmed.  For from out of this is how double portion is going to be made manifest to us.

I’ll write an English translation from the verses , then show you how it is written from Hebrew text, to see how this unveiled.

“Then the LORD said to Moses,
“Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you;
and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day,
that I may test them whether or not they will walk in My instruction.
And it will come about on the sixth day,
when they prepare what they bring in,
it will be twice as much as what they gather daily.” “
                                                                                                 Ex. 16:4-5 (NASB)

Young’s Lit. trnlstn, for the emboldened words of v4, writes that they were to gather “the matter of a day in its day.  The Hebrew text says, d’var YOM b’YOMo.”  Again, the last word of v 5, “daily”, the Hebrew says, “YOM YOM.”  You see “YOM” together, twice, in two successive verses.

The twist, moreover, is in the word d’var“, which points to the “portion” or “matter” that they were to gather day by day every day.  Its root is equivalent to the Greek word “logos,” which most of us recognize as “word” ...  which is the technical Hebrew root of “d’var”!  In the simple command to the Hebrews to gather bread is the word of the LORD to us to gather day by day every day His word!

There is, also, a prophetic mandate, if you will, from verse 5, for us right now.  On the 6th day they were to gather twice as much.  When I read this – “the sixth day” – there was a sense in my Spirit from the LORD that we are in the 6th day.

So, how in the world, with our busy schedules, do we gather twice as much day by day?

The answer is right in Exodus 16.  Again, when I saw it in the Hebrew, I was in awe of God, of His great love towards us, of His heart towards us to have life and to have it more abundantly in this hectic world in which we live.

In vs 2 & 3, it says that the people “murmured”, which also denotes “complained”, that they didn’t have bread to eat.  (Please hear this, Beloved.  There is something in this word’s root definition, “to murmur”, that will cause you to see where stagnation in one’s faith progress sets in).  They refer back to when they were in Egypt, saying, “when we sat by pots of meat [flesh], and we ate bread to the full...” (NASB).   The LORD’s heart is for them not to trip up and get stuck in their complaining, rather for them to look to Him as supply and to keep moving forward towards His promised possession for them. (The Heb. vrb “to murmur” – “loon”, in its root, means “to stop, to lodge).

The LORD answers the people’s complaining according to their own words, concerning “flesh” and “bread.”  But His answer is far greater in denotation than the simple words we read, because He always does exceedingly abundantly beyond what we can ask or think.  He is immediately checking their fleshly urge to complain – to stop and lodge (in their complaining)  – in order to keep their vision, and thus their faith feet, in a forward (pleasing to Him) progress.  Through Moses and Aaron He says, “At evening you will know that the LORD has brought you out of the land of Egypt; AND IN THE MORNING YOU WILL SEE THE GLORY OF THE LORD … when the LORD gives you meat [flesh] to eat in the evening, and bread to the full in the morning.” (vs 6-7a,8a NASB).  The LORD reiterates their words in v.12.

When I saw that He was giving them “flesh” to eat in the evening, I asked Him as to this, because I knew this had not to do with our spiritual understanding of “flesh” (the sin nature), as seen in the New Testament.  While it so that Egypt represents our life in sin before Jesus, the food that God our Father has for us is bread of life, not the diet of yesterday.  When I read this word for flesh” in the Hebrew [“Basar”], He brought to my remembrance another verse where I had seen this word, and it was here that I was blown away by the awesome goodness of His heart towards us.  I have to believe this because Jesus is clear through His resurrection sermon to the two on the road to Emmaus (Lk 24:13ff), and by His words to the Jews in John 5 (ie. v 39), that Moses, that the Tanach, testify concerning HIM!  So here is the connection to the other O.T. verse that brings understanding as to Him giving us “flesh” to eat in the evening, for how this speaks to us today:

“How lovely on the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings GOOD NEWS,
Who announces peace
And brings good news of happiness,
Who announces salvation [yshuat] …”
Isaiah 52:7 (NASB)

The Exodus 16 word for “flesh”“Basar” (baw-sawr) is rooted in the Isaiah 52:7 word for “Good News”“Basar”– (ba-sawr).  The Hebrew word for “Gospel”, for “Good News,” is “Basar”.  If you keep reading the Isaiah 52 passage, the LORD talks about salvation and redemption through bearing His Holy arm.  And He continues into Isaiah 53 with the opening words, “To whom as the Arm of the LORD been revealed?”, making known to us Jesus in His suffering to redeem us – through healing and bearing our sin – the revelation of GOOD NEWS”, our SALVATION – yshuat(from which we have Jesus’s Name – YeShua).

Beloved, it is eating the GOOD News at night, not the world’s bad news, before we go to bed, and then getting up to gather bread for the day (see Jhn. 6:31-51) – doing this day by day, that we get twice as much in this sixth day in which we live, THAT HIS GLORY IS REVEALED to us and thus through us.

The “Glory” for which so many of you long to see, is in the daily double portion gathering of His word!  YHVH said to them that they would see His Glory… in the morning.  Are you ready to see this?  Are you honestly ready, Beloved, to see the glory God wants to reveal, that will be so obvious to the world, all they’ll be able to do when they go to curse you is bless you … because they’ll be gazing at what they never saw before?

Here is the most precious, precious nugget from heaven. If you will take this Grace truth and let Holy Spirit write into who you are in Christ, walking out the instruction of this blog’s teaching, you will have under the New Covenant a greater weight of glory than what Balaam saw one morning over God’s people in Numbers 22:41ff.

At the end of Exodus the tabernacle gets set up.  Leviticus immediately opens up with the heart of God unveiling His heart to teach the people how they can  draw near to Him through sacrifice (see the Kairos I wrote at beginning of this year “The Year To Draw Near“).  Numbers opens up, in Ch 2, with a census of each of the sons/tribes of Israel, and their camping arrangement around the tabernacle, with three tribes each arranged, according to the word of the LORD, around the four sides of this tent of meeting.  The shape, per the census and commanded arrangement, reveals a cross. When I first heard and saw this taught by P. Prince, I pulled out graph paper and, from the Numbers 2 census, drew it out, and found this to be so, with a slight variance on the south arm of the cross from the north arm.

It is towards the end of their 40 years in the desert that Balaam is hired by the Moabites to curse Israel.  Numbers 22:41 specifically states that the Moabite king took him up to a high place (overlooking part of the camp of Israel) “in the morning”.  What is significant about this?  In Exodus 16, the LORD “rained down from heaven” … Manna … WHITE manna (v31) … IN THE MORNING around an encampment that was, by Numbers 2, the shape of a cross.  From a distance, from high up, it would have looked like glory, a white glow, on the desert sands, around a cross.  All Balaam could do, for the next two chapters, from that point onward, at every different high place to which the king of Moab took him so as to pronounce curses, looking down at different parts of the cross in which the Hebrews camped, with the morning memory of a white glow around God’s people, and a pillar of fire suspended supernaturally over the tabernacle, was to bless God’s chosen, who were all outside  in the “glory” gathering manna for the day, with not one shred of news reaching their ears that attempted witchcraft curses up in the hills above them were being turned into eternal blessings.

The glory, the double portion, the blessings, for which so many are longing, it’s all in your private time, Beloved, with Jesus, with Abba Father, with Holy Spirit, in the Word, in communion with Him, where you find yourself thus living in the Holy of Holies throughout your day, where everything Jesus purchased with His body and blood – in the Cross – is a living reality … to give away to the world around you who see His glory on you.

You are greatly loved, Beloved.                                                                              Mark Dingemans

In the Next Kairos there is going to be unveiled the cross of the encampment from the 2nd Census, the new generation, in Num. 26.  It reveals why the first generation did not enter into Divine promise … and unveils also what took place in the Garden of Gethsemane when Jesus was being arrested, as well as what would be seen from Golgatha’s hill with the two nailed to crosses on either side of Jesus.  There is wisdom for the present from what the sons of Israel never took to heart in the Passover sacrifice, having to do with “Hearing”.

** – Beloved, take the time to go through these scriptures, and let the Holy Spirit write them and bear witness to them in your hearts and minds.  Let the Word of God and the Blood of Jesus and the witness of the Holy Spirit who lives inside of you wash through you and renew your mind.  These blogs are meant to be Bible studies, so you are free to print up any newsletter of this blog site for your own study.  Let communion be a refreshing of the Blood and the Spirit (Heb. 9:14) to cleanse your conscious from sin consciousness to righteousness consciousness, that you are indeed clean, as a gift of His grace.  You are no more, Dearly Beloved, under condemnation; rather, you are under justification – eternally! (Rom. 4:25b, 5:21;b; Heb. 9:11-12).

If you have never believed into Jesus Christ, you can do so now, from your own heart and words.  If you wish to help to pray, pray, “LORD Jesus, I believe You died for me and as me because You love me.  I ask You for Your Forgiveness for my sin.  Thank You for shedding Your blood to cleanse me, for making me clean, for breaking the power of sin in my life.  I ask You to live inside of me.  I thank You, Jesus, for giving me eternal life, that I might know You and Your Father, as my God, forever.  In Your Name, LORD Jesus.  Amen!”

kairos – (Kahee-ros’) – Strong’s concordance defines this word: “an occasion, I.e. set or proper  time.”  The Hebrew-Greek Key Study Bible (NASB) defines this word; “season, time, but not merely as a succession of moments, which is chronos,” [from which we derive the English word ‘chronology’].  “Kairos, however, implies not the convenience of the season, but the necessity of the task at hand, whether the time provides a good, convenient opportunity or not.”  This must be understood.  Strategic times of the Lord do not necessarily imply good or convenient times.  We are in Kairos times.  Maybe not good or convenient times, but definitely strategic, opportune times because of the season we are in.  We must have “ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches,” (Rev. 2:29), so as to respond correctly to the Kairos time.
